Our House . . . for ArtStacks!

Hi everyone!  I have another art journal page to share with you today.  It's my turn today to share a page I created for ArtStacks:

I made a 12 x 12 mixed media art journal page using two of ArtStacks' amazing packs!

Here is my creation:

I started by making a background of teals, blues, and greens using my new Golden High Flow Acrylics:

I love their saturated colors!

Next, I added my "homes" by stenciling them onto the background using white acrylic paint and Tamara Laporte's stencil from Tam's Whimsy Series:

I had this stencil in my stash and loved using it here.

I featured the incredible images from Tam's Artsy Animals pack:

And added the beautiful trees from ArtStacks' "Trees and Leaves" pack:

And finally, I added the lyrics to one of my favorite songs by Crosby Stills Nash and Young, entitled "Our House."  When I saw Tam's Artsy Animals pack, I knew I had to make this page. I really enjoyed creating it and can actually say that it's one of my favs!

I hope you get to check out ArtStacks' blog for more info and to see all of their artists' creations!

And if you look closely, I have numbered three of the homes, so I am linking my page up to  Art Journal Journey Monthly's  June theme:

This month is hosted by Matilde.  Her blog is Craftowanie and her theme for June is All About Numbers!"

Matilde says:  I hope you will enjoy it and come and join us this month!

I want to thank Matilde and Art Journal Journey for the amazing and fun challenge.  I hope you get a chance to check out their site to see what all of the wonderful entries.

Thank YOU so much for stopping by my blog today.  Enjoy the rest of June!

The Smiles of Nature . . . for ArtStacks!

Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing my newest mixed media art journal page made for ArtStacks . . .

I used three different collections that meshed together seamlessly on my page: Trees and Leaves#1 CorestackAnemones and Friends Corestack, and the Faces and Figures Corestack:

I LOVE the tissue paper faces that are included in the Faces and Figures Corestack.  One of the smiling faces was absolutely perfect here:

And the butterflies from the Anemones and Friends Corestack are still one of my FAVS to use.  Who doesn't like butterflies on their pages???

Finally, the color yourself trees in the Trees and Leaves Corestack were amazing here.  If the printed trees aren't the right color, no worries!  Just color these yourself.  I really like the versatility of this stack!  I even used my quote from this stack . . .

And my completed page turned out like this:

Here is are some different views of my art journal page:

I am also linking my project up to Art Journal Journey, Monthly.

This month's theme is hosted by Erika at BioArtGal and is entitled Lets Face It.

Erika said the following:  "This month you should use a face on your journal page. It could be a human face, an animal face, or a face on something that doesn't usually have one like smiling flowers or a mustached mushroom. It might not even be a living thing that has a face. Or perhaps instead of an actual face you have another interpretation of this topic. You can stamp a face, draw a face, use a digital face or cut out a face from something printed. You could also paint a face or stencil a face."

As you can see, I used a smiling face on my page to enhance my quote!  Thank you, Erika and everyone AJJ.  I always LOVE seeing all of the creative beautiful projects there!

I hope you get a check out ArtStacks web page!!  You can find their blog, their store, the artist team's inspiration, and lots more. And you can join in on the fun of the positivity project too!

Thank you all so much for stopping by my blog today!  HUGS to one and all!

Country Roads, Take me Home!

 Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing a mixed media scrapbook page that I made for ArtStacks . . .

This time, I used their brand new release: Trees and Leaves#1 Corestac to make the following scrapbook page:

Artstacks' newest release is amazing!  I enjoyed working with whimsical trees and leaves pages that are included the Corestack:

These pages are just a touch of what's included in this stack.
Also, the quote/title is from John Denver's song lyrics.

And I took the photo at Jacobsburg Park recently during one of my walks:
