The Smiles of Nature . . . for ArtStacks!

Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing my newest mixed media art journal page made for ArtStacks . . .

I used three different collections that meshed together seamlessly on my page: Trees and Leaves#1 CorestackAnemones and Friends Corestack, and the Faces and Figures Corestack:

I LOVE the tissue paper faces that are included in the Faces and Figures Corestack.  One of the smiling faces was absolutely perfect here:

And the butterflies from the Anemones and Friends Corestack are still one of my FAVS to use.  Who doesn't like butterflies on their pages???

Finally, the color yourself trees in the Trees and Leaves Corestack were amazing here.  If the printed trees aren't the right color, no worries!  Just color these yourself.  I really like the versatility of this stack!  I even used my quote from this stack . . .

And my completed page turned out like this:

Here is are some different views of my art journal page:

I am also linking my project up to Art Journal Journey, Monthly.

This month's theme is hosted by Erika at BioArtGal and is entitled Lets Face It.

Erika said the following:  "This month you should use a face on your journal page. It could be a human face, an animal face, or a face on something that doesn't usually have one like smiling flowers or a mustached mushroom. It might not even be a living thing that has a face. Or perhaps instead of an actual face you have another interpretation of this topic. You can stamp a face, draw a face, use a digital face or cut out a face from something printed. You could also paint a face or stencil a face."

As you can see, I used a smiling face on my page to enhance my quote!  Thank you, Erika and everyone AJJ.  I always LOVE seeing all of the creative beautiful projects there!

I hope you get a check out ArtStacks web page!!  You can find their blog, their store, the artist team's inspiration, and lots more. And you can join in on the fun of the positivity project too!

Thank you all so much for stopping by my blog today!  HUGS to one and all!

Be Sure to Smell the Flowers . . . for Artstacks!

Hi!! Today I am sharing a mixed media art journal page that I made for ArtStacks!

I used their amazing The Homemaker Limited Edition Stack to make the following page:

This stack has so many wonderful papers included! I used the following papers to make my page:

The Rose on Vintage music sheet is pre-stitched, and is one of my all-time favorites!  And the rose canvas photo paper is made out of a beautiful heavy canvas!!  And these are just a few of what is included in the stack.

Here is a close up of my page:

And this quote was fussy cut from the "Words and Quote" page of the Anemones and Friends Corestack.

I hope you get a chance to make a project using the pages from ArtStacks!  I know you will LOVE using them as much as I do.  If you head on over to their website, you can find their blog for more of their artist team inspiration!

I am also linking my page up to Art Journal Journey Monthly this month!

Their theme is "Vintage" and is hosted by Wendy KThe sheet music paper that I used from ArtStacks is definitely vintage - that's one of the things that I loved most about it.
Thanks, AJJ and Wendy for hosting this fabulous theme for the month of September!

Bloom & Grow . . . for ArtStacks!

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing a mixed media scrapbook page that I made for ArtStacks!

I used their amazing Anemones & Friends stack and their beautiful Doors and Windows stacks to make the following page:

I started by picking this photo of Anne taken in 2015:

I thought it would be perfect looking out of a window.  Next I picked a window with shutters  from the Doors and Windows stack:

I colored the shutters, window framing, and flower box with watercolor markers, then fussy cut the pieces.  I added netting behind the inner window frame to give it some dimension.  Here is a close up:

I added pop dots to the back of the shutters.  Next I picked my title from the Anemones & Friends stack, cut it out and popped it to add depth.  I also thought the John Lennon quote from the same stack would be perfect here, so I fussy cut it and adhered it to my page.  Finally, I picked some flowers from the tissue paper in the same stack, fussy cut it and added it to the upper and lower sides of my page.

I did some stamping, added paint splatters and bling, and viola, I'm done.  It was that simple!!!

Here are some different views:

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you get a chance to make a project using the amazing ArtStacks!  know you will enjoy using them!!

Happiness Blooms From Within . . . For ArtStacks!

Hi everyone!  I have some very exciting news to share:

I am very honored to be a part of this amazing team! To learn more about what ArtStacks is all about, please check out their website here!

Today I am sharing my very first page that I made for them.

I created a mixed media scrapbook page using the Anemones & Friends Stack:

And I chose this particular piece because I love the colors of the beautiful butterflies and flowers:

Also, the Anemones and Friends Stack comes with a page of inspirational quotes, which I used for my title and photo labeling!

I first picked some adorable photos of my daughter taken in 1999:

Next, I got out a piece of 12 x 12 watercolor paper and splattered some pink, yellow, and orange ink on my page using ink pads and water. After that dried, I stamped a messy black ink frame to draw my eye to the photos, the ArtStacks butterflies, and ArtStacks flowers that I fussy cut and adhered with glue gel.  Finally I stamped little extras around my page.

Here's my page:

And a different view:

I hope you get a chance to check out ArtStacks and learn all about their awesome website!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.  HUGS to everyone.
