I had a touch of a virus this past weekend and stayed home today to rest. The bad new is that I had to miss going to NCY to see the play "Finding Neverland" with my sisters and nephews. I was so sad, but my daughter, Anne still got to go with her aunts and cousins. And my sister, Karen, sent me some photos:
They all had a wonderful time, especially Anne! She couldn't stop talking about it when she got home.
And the bright side is that I did get some time to scrap this morning after resting most of the weekend. Yay!
This week's Summer of Color colors are red + red + metallic. Here is my worksheet:
I used a photo that I took of Anne in February of this year when we still had snow on the ground:
I converted it to black and white and added some magic:
I had all of the supplies in my stash this time, since red is one of my all time favorite colors. I used Glimmer Mist in "Starfish Red," SEI red spray paint, and for the metallic I used Faber-Castell's "Texture Luxe" in gold and some gold glitter I had on hand. I had fun working with the Texture Luxe and loved the texture it produced:
Here is my completed scrapbook page:
. . . and here are some different views of my completed layout using this week's SOC colors:
I am off to take a nap now . . . Hugs to all of you. Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. I cannot tell you what all of your visits have meant to me!
Thank YOU! xo
