December, 2013!

Good Morning everyone and welcome to December, 2013!  I cannot believe that this year has flown by so quickly.

I am very happy to be sharing the latest Color Me Scrappy challenge with you.  The color scheme and sketch from Challenge #51 are as follows:

I took the sketch and turned it upside down for my layout.  I used a photo that I recently took and shared on my blog when we went to Washington DC to see the Penn State Mock Trial team compete there.  Here is my layout and the photo of Anne running in anticipation of seeing Katie:

And some closeups:

I loved using this color scheme and really thought about everything that I have to be thankful for this year.  My sister's health, (and all of our health that we take so much for granted!) my friends, my family, my job and my home are just some of the things I have to be thankful for.  And moments like this one depicted on my scrapbook page.  And I am also so very thankful for all of you who follow my blog and leave such wonderful comments here!

I want to share some photos that I took when we went up to pick Katie up at Penn State this past weekend.  It was SOOOOOOOOO cold and extremely windy, therefore we decided not to stay for the football game, which didn't start till 3:30 PM.  I am very happy that we decided to just go home because it started snowing and Route 80 was closed for a period of time that evening!  And the game went into overtime, too.

I am currently taking a photography class and our theme this past week was "reflection."  These photos "reflect" the theme:

And some more random photos that I took:

And I would like to leave you with one last picture of Anne.  I came downstairs last weekend and found her with her furry friends all lined up in the living room.  Here they are to wish everyone a happy belated Thanksgiving and very, very happy December and upcoming holiday season:

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.  Our weather is supposed to be a little warmer.  One more thing to be thankful for!! YAY!!

As always, thank you SO MUCH for visiting my blog today!

Don't forget to visit Color Me Scrappy!

  13. Hello Sharon! What a yummy color scheme to work with. I like how you turned the sketch upside down- a good sketch should be able to be flipped and rotated! Nice sewing detail. HAPPY December, sweet lady :)
