Today I would like to share a layout that I made for the Color Me Scrappy design team. It's for Challenge #45 and you can check it out here! Here is the color scheme:
And the sketch for this challenge:
And here is my take:
I used photos of Katie and Anne from our recent vacation. I just love these joyful photos of the two of them! I also used a lot of items from various Scraptastic Club kits that I had on hand. If you want to check out their kits, you can go to their website here.
Here are some different views of my layout:
All of us from Color Me Scrappy hope you have time to participate in this challenge! It would be wonderful to see your layout there!
It was such a thrill to see Mt. Rushmore! I have always wanted to see it!
We went on a beautiful morning!
And followed the trail to get a closer look:
You could see each president at various points on the trail:
Lincoln:
. . . and Washington:
Here's John, Katie, and Anne taking a moment to pose for me:
Another view of Mt. Rushmore:
Animal life was abundant:
What a wonderful experience. I will always remember it, and the best part was that we got to see it as a family!
Again, I want to wish everyone from the United States a very happy and safe holiday weekend:
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!
Happy Labor Day Sharon! Your layout is gorgeous! I love how you used the color scheme. You make me want to start scrapbooking layouts again!

What a fun vacation to look back on. I went to Mt. Rushmore when I was 5, but I don't remember it and no one scrapped it for me. So now I want to take my own kiddo- maybe next summer!
Love the aqua elements and your Mount Rushmore photos are great!

Thanks for sharing pictures/stories from you vacation with us. It's like we were there too. How wonderful for your family to experience this together.
Hope your week at work was a good one. Glad to hear the kids are doing well in school. I know you miss Katie but the next break will be here before you know it. My dog Lucky and I missed the kids last week, the house is quiet. It took till Friday for me to get use to it and kinda enjoy the quiet and craft time for myself. Not sure about Lucky though, poor thing was sad all week.
Take care and Happy Monday to you. I will be doing a special sunflower post this week, you will love it. They are wild this year and so TALL!! We also have a new little something growing too, can't wait to share! HUGS!
