We arrived home from vacation and I can't wait to tell you all about it with pictures! We had a most amazing time getting to see a part of our vast country that we never got to see before. We flew into Denver, CO, and rented a car! We drove to Custer, SD to see Mt. Rushmore and Custer State Park, drove through WY and saw Yellowstone National Park, drove to Victor, ID and visited the Grand Tetons along the way, then drove back to CO, seeing Boulder and Denver on the last 2 days of our trip! The best part of this vacation was that we got to see it together as a family. I really tried to cherish each and every moment with Katie, Anne, and John! It was wonderful. So stay tuned . . .
But first, today, I would like to tell you about
Color Me Scrappy's newest challenge!
Challenge #43 is going on right now through August 15th. I really encourage you to check it out and if you have the time, enter a project! It is a lot of fun and it's great to see everyone's different takes on the challenge. Our guest designer and design team really outdid themselves this time!!!
Here is the color scheme:
and the twist for this challenge is to use the following awesome sketch:
Here is my take:
I love hexagons, so this sketch was right up my alley. The colors are bright and happy, like the photo, so I used this fun photo of Katie and Anne taken at Toys R Us in NYC! Anne (and Katie!) both loves Legos, and the Lego section was her favorite! I really like how they became "hulk-like" as they posed for this picture!!!
Here are some different angles:
