I can't even begin to tell you how much I am enjoying having this week off! I have had time to read and even got caught up in my Book of Days class. I missed last week's lessons because we were on vacation!
I would like to share with you the pages that I made with week 5's lessons.
First, is my "Book of Mirrors" spread (which includes inner reflection) from week 5. We learned how to paint over an image to achieve a portrait like painting. I used a photo of Grace Kelly that I love:
I printed it out on regular printer paper, painted over it with white Gesso, then went on to make my pages using Effy's awesome lesson. Here is my final product:
and some close ups:
. . . and my second spread is from Week 5's "Book of Days" lesson, which is more about journaling what happened during the week! I definitely wanted to use some of my favorite photos from our trip last week for these pages:
I really enjoyed making both sets of pages!
And now, as promised, I am going to share some vacation photos with you. These were taken at the Grand Teton National Park, which we visited on Wednesday, July 31! (I am not going in any particular order.)
And we arrived to Jenny Lake:
Here are photo taken on the boat which took us across Jenny Lake to Mount Moran:
We arrived at the boat dock which lead us to the hiking trail to hidden falls:
We traversed bridges across ravines:
navigated steep hills:
walked along what seemed like cliffs to me:
I couldn't even look down during the last leg of the trail, but I did try to get a photo:
The last few feet of the hiking trail seemed treacherous, to say the least!!!! But we finally made it to "Inspiration Point," and the view was spectacular! I was glad that my family encouraged me to continue on! I have to say, Katie and Anne were absolutely fearless!!!
And here's another view looking up. (still more to climb??? Not for me - no way! LOL!)
Afterwards, we spent the night at a beautiful resort in Victor, ID:
and we woke up to this view:
As I can say is WOW!!!! What an amazing time!
So stay tuned - I will share more photos with you soon.
Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday. And thank you so much for stopping by to visit my blog today!
