Today I would like to share the pages that I made this week for my Book of Days class taught and hosted by Effy Wild!
This week we learned about making pages with napkins! I was amazing at how much texture napkins and a little bit of gel medium can add to a page!
For Book of Mirrors, I followed Effy's video which showed us a little bit about "trance journaling" which I thought was very cool! Here are my finished pages:
I was inspired by the song "Lighthouse" by the Waifs! I printed my photo of the lighthouse on vellum then adhered to my page with gel medium. I have very fond memories of this lighthouse at Barnegat Light, NJ! My family would go there every year for a vacation, even if just for a day!
My Book of Days page was all about putting things in the past and being happy and blessed for the things we have in the present. I can honestly say that I feel very happy right now. I placed a not-so-happy photo of me in the envelope to keep in the past!!!
Here are my completed pages:
My theme was "Christmas in July!"
I want to thank you for stopping by my blog today. I also want to wish you all a very happy weekend!
Oh, and I would like to leave you with some happy pictures of Anne and Katie:
Take care and enjoy your weekend!
Such beautiful pages Sharon - wow! I love all the texture you got from the napkins! That lighthouse page is fantastic, and I love that you were inspired by music! And that second one is so happy! I love that you put the not happy photo in the envelope - I love the symbolism there! Glad you are enjoying Book of Days!
