New challenges for Scrapping the Music this week!

This week's set of challenges for Scrapping the Music were chosen by one of my amazingly talented design team members, Linda!  She not only is a wonderful artist, but a good friend, too.  I think you are really going to like her song and prompt!

The song Linda picked is "Iridescent" by Linkin Park.

Here is a video of Linkin Park performing the song live:

And here is my take on this beautiful song:

Let me start by saying that I used an awesome sketch by Heather Landry as the basis for my layout!  You can see her sketches (and more of her work!) and what the rest of her design team created for her most recent sketch at Miracles Momma Designs!

This is Sketch/Template  #26:

My journaling for the layout was inspired by Linda's song:

"Most of the time I love my job.  I can't wait to go to work because I love the interaction I have with my patients.  but there are those days when everything seems to go wrong, or everyone seems to be in a bad mood.  Aft the end of one of those days, I like to take a walk down our road.  I am so happy that we live out in the country.  My daughter, Anne, usually like to come with me.  We just meander along and enjoy the scenery.  Here is one of my favorite spots.  By the time we walk here, all of the sadness and frustration of the day seems to be gone.  I can just let it go . . ."

Thanks Linda and Heather for the inspiration to make my scrapbook page! I really enjoyed doing this one.

For this week's Scrapping the Music prompt, Linda's challenge is for us it to choose a song that brings out the rebel in you!

How fun is this prompt???
My layout:

"For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield is the ultimate protest song of the 60's and 70's!  I was a teen during this time, and this song always brings back memories of rebelliousness of those times.

Check out the video here:

For my layout, I printed a photo of my cousin, Cindy, me, and my twin sister, Karen, from 1974, then cut out our pictures.  Next,  I "dressed" each of us in 60's clothes like paper dolls!!  I can't tell you how much fun I had making this layout, especially the peace sign!!

So . . . . what inspires you about the song or prompt?
Head on over to Scrapping the Music to join in on the fun for the next 2 weeks!
See ya there!!!!
