They Thought I Was Normal . . . for ArtStacks!

 Hi everyone!  It's my turn to share my first mixed media art journal page made for ArtStacks in 2023 . . .

I used ArtStacks'  Deb Weiers' Wonky Critters, Wonky Faces, and Wonky Backgrounds Artist Series packs for my project.  

I can't tell you how much I love working with these ArtStacks' packs:  

Here is my art journal page:  

I made my page featuring Deb Weiers' wonky "moon dawg" from her Wonky Critters pack.  She has lots of these fabulous critters in her pack that are so much fun to work with! As are her Wonky Faces and Wonky Backgrounds packs.

And  I have to mention that the background paper is Vicki Boutin's 12 x 12 Ready To Use Mixed Media paper pad!

I Love Stripes . . . for ArtStacks!

 Hi everyone!  Today I'd like to share my new mixed media art journal page that I made for ArtStacks.

 Hi everyone!  Today I'd like to share my new mixed media art journal page that I made for ArtStacks. 

I used ArtStacks' new releases:  Deb Weiers' Wonky Critters and Wonky Bits Artist Series packs as the focal point of my page.  I can't tell you how much I love working with these packs.   I couldn't wait to start creating as soon as I received them!

I made my page featuring Deb Weiers' wonky pony from the Wonky Critters pack!  I also used lyrics from one of my favorite songs by Joni Mitchell - "Circle Game."  And the background paper is Vicki Boutin's!   You can check out the new releases in more detail here.

 

 

And I had Art Journal Journey Monthly in mind when I made my page.  

This month is hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth and there are 2 themes to pick from - collage fodder and/or food & drink.  I picked collage fodder.   

 

My background is from Vicki Boutin's Color Study collection.  My pieces included torn black and white striped paper, images from the Wonky Critters and Wonky Bits packs, and song lyrics that were printed on white paper and cut into strips.  I collaged them together and stitched some into place.

Always Try . . . for More Than Words!

Hi everyone! It's November1st  and time for a new challenge . . .

November's Main Challenge at More Than Words opened today:

In case you don't already know, More Than Words is a monthly art journal challenge site that contains a word inspiration and a creative challenge.

Here is November's Main Challenge:

The word inspiration for this month is FACE and the creative challenge is MONOPRINTING. 

Here is my finished art journal page:

 

To make my page, I used my gel printing plate and a stencil to add the green MONOPRINTING to the patterned paper. The funky bird FACE and my title are from Deb Weiers' newest releases from ArtStacks!

The image of the bird from one of the ArtStacks new releases from Deb Weiers!  It's from her "Wonky Critters" pack and I couldn't wait to start creating with her Artist Series packs as soon as I received them!
