This month's theme is all about using BUTTERFLIES on your projects.  Don't forget to include a with YOU on your project.

I found this super cute photo of Katie and me from 1995. We were visiting my in-laws and had just finished church. The background paper and all the pretty stuff (like the butterflies) are from the 49 & Market Kaleidoscope collection. The black butterflies are from ArtStacks’ “Tissue Backgrounds” pack, and the chipboard butterfly is from my stash.

"this covers my love of Lavinia stamps and the fairies that the owner draws herself.  But the theme doesn't have to stop at fairies.  If you think about it, lots of things have wings - butterflies, dragonflies, ladybirds, and other insects.  Don't forget about birds and angels.  And what about buildings - the White House has the West Wing, hospitals have wings, there are lots of wings when you think of it!"

Love It . . . for ArtStacks and Art Journal Journey Monthly!

 Hi everyone!  Today I'd like to share my new mixed media art journal page that I made for ArtStacks. 

I used ArtStacks' new releases:  Deb Weiers' Wonky Critters and Wonky Bits Artist Series packs as the focal point of my page.  I can't tell you how much I love working with these packs.   I couldn't wait to start creating as soon as I received them!

Here is my art journal page:  

I made my page featuring Deb Weiers' wonky pony from the Wonky Critters pack!  I also used lyrics from one of my favorite songs by Joni Mitchell - "Circle Game."  And the background paper is Vicki Boutin's!   You can check out the new releases in more detail here.

 

 

And I had Art Journal Journey Monthly in mind when I made my page.  

This month is hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth and there are 2 themes to pick from - collage fodder and/or food & drink.  I picked collage fodder.   

 

My background is from Vicki Boutin's Color Study collection.  My pieces included torn black and white striped paper, images from the Wonky Critters and Wonky Bits packs, and song lyrics that were printed on white paper and cut into strips.  I collaged them together and stitched some into place.
