Hi everyone!
I am so excited to be hosting at Art Journal Journey Monthly again for the month of December!
I took this photo of our daughter Anne waaaay back in 2013! She loved winter and anything that got her outside back then. Even snow shoveling was her thing! I knew that I wanted to use this cute photo as soon as I came across it. I framed/matted the black and white photo in red and white, framed it, and added some “messy" thread behind it. Next, I picked the adorable background paper from Alexandra Renke and adhered my photo to it. I affixed my title using different alphabet stickers I had in my stash. I placed some fun, red embellishments here and there to give my page a little more interest. And finally, I matted the whole page on a red background. That's it! It was so easy to make, and now the memory is preserved forever!!
I’m so honored to have been asked to host again at Art Journal Journey Monthly. Head over to their site (at the highlighted link) and join in on the fun!! I can guarantee you a wonderful time!!
I want to thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.
Have a very Happy December. I hope to slow down and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

This is such a fun page Sharon and a great way to start the new month. I love the addition of the skiers and sledders and I'm guessing your daughter's photo. Everyone seems to really be having snow much fun. I'm so glad you're hosting this month with this theme. I hope you don't get too much snow from this storm coming your way and then mine. hugs-Erika

ReplyDeleteHello Sharon! Thank you for hosting Art Journal Journey and I really love your work. I love how you use your own pictures in the collages. I need to do that more often. It makes it feel more special. have a lovely December!
ReplyDeleteAlways admire how you can compose your pages Sharon so clean and simple but with so many elements to digest and take in.. truly inspirational. The colourway reminds me of my favourite colours in the 80's what happy memories. Beautiful picture of Anne definitely a treasured time, there's nothing like outdoor activities with our loved ones no matter the weather.. Well worth framing!!
ReplyDeleteWishing you and the family all the magic this Christmas and enjoy your host time, I will pop in whenever I can Hugs Tracey xx
