Flower Girl . . . for ArtStacks!

Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing my newest mixed media art journal spread that I made for ArtStacks . . .

I used three different collections that meshed together seamlessly on my page: Trees and Leaves#1 CorestackAnemones and Friends Corestack, and the Faces and Figures Corestack:

I LOVE the tissue paper faces that are included in the Faces and Figures Corestack.  One of the faces is perfect for my flower girl:

And, OF COURSE, the flowers from the Anemones and Friends Corestack are one of my FAVS and what's more perfect for my flower girl than these beautiful pink flowers???

Finally, the ginko leaves in the Trees and Leaves Corestack are also perfect here . . .

Here's my completed spread:

With some different views:

I am also linking my project up to Art Journal Journey, Monthly.

This month, AJJ has 2 hosts:  Bleubeard and Elizabeth.  You can find them at Altered Book LoverElizabeth says Bleubeard is the beautiful face and support behind their blog while she supplies the art work!  This month's theme is  What's Your Style?

Elizabeth said the following:  "You may have your own specific style, where you rely heavily on abstracts, architecture, travel, drips and splatters, nature, stamping, stencils, watercolor paints and pencils, words, or backgrounds. . . . . .  Regardless, Bleubeard and I want you to share your own style or styles this month.  We are looking forward to seeing what you conjure up."

I never thought much about my style, and don't think I have a specific style per-say.  So I am using the "eclectic" catch-all style as my style.  LOL!!  Anyway, I am honored to share my Art Journal Spread here.  I want to thank Bleubeard and Elizabeth, and AJJ Monthy for the wonderful theme this month.

And I hope you get a check out ArtStacks web page!!  You can find their blog, their store, the artist team's inspiration, and lots more. And you can join in on the fun of the positivity project too!

Thank you all so much for stopping by my blog today!  HUGS to one and all!

  2. This is a fantastic journal page Sharon. Wow. I really like what you did here, and how it's got a different look from your photo journal pages. It's so much fun to play with different styles, isn't it? Thanks so much for sharing this with us for Elizabeth's challenge over at AJJ. Happy Valentine's Day too. Hugs-Erika

  3. Wow, Sharon. You pulled out all the stops on this spread. I can't believe how much fussy cutting you must have done to turn this into a spread you could truly call your own. I love the way the flowers take on an air of the exotic and frame the girl's face beautifully. She certainly lives up to her name flower girl. I think this is a great style you have given us, Sharon. Thank you so very much for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey using Bleubeard’s and my theme.
