Just wanted to let you all know that I have been very lapse and have not been visiting or commenting on all of your beautiful blogs lately. Between the loss of our beloved dog, Kita, and my mom's dementia progressing, my life has been crazy. We are in the process of selling and cleaning out my mom's home (the home we were brought up in) and we recently moved her into a "memory unit" at the senior home where she is residing. It has been so emotional. Hopefully, I will be back and commenting soon. . .
Today I am sharing a layout that I made for the newest Challenge YOUrself challenge:
This month is all about making a scrapbook page about your favorite holiday. I knew in an instant what photo I wanted to scrap because my favorite holiday is Easter!
This photo of my twin sister Karen, and me was taken by my dad in 1959!!! Our family did not have a lot of money back then, so for us to get these enormous stuffed bunnies was quite a treat! I also knew that I wanted to scrap about Easter. Not only does it depict a new beginning for us all, it also was such a special time for my family when we were growing up.
Here is my completed page:
Here's a close up:
And a different view:
I used the Echo Park "Celebrate Easter" collection from my stash to make this page.
I truly enjoyed scrapping about my favorite holiday, which is Easter!! I hope that you all get the chance to check out Challenge YOUrself this month!
And you have a random chance to win this fabulous prize:
It's a 12 x 12 Echo Park "Fashionista" scrapbook kit!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. HUGS to you all.
