Family!

Hi everyone . . . welcome November!  I can't believe that we turned the clocks back this past weekend and it's getting dark at 5:00 PM now.  It's been awhile since I blogged - I have missed it and scrapping.
Getting dark earlier gives me a little more time to scrap, so I decided to make a page to honor my family. especially my daughters and the holiday season.

Also, today is the first day of the new Challenge YOUrself challenge:


I had an excuse to use more of my beautiful Simple Stories "Vintage Blessings" collection:


Here is my finished page:


Since the challenge asks us to use sprays and inks, I sprayed my clouds with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst "Blue Hawaiian Blue" mist and my sun with their Starburst "Yellow Rose of Texas" spray.  I also inked my die cut trees and had fun sprinkling my white background with various shades of blue and white.

This page is so special to me because it's all about family, especially me with my beautiful daughters.  And I sure did have fun making it for this month's Challenge YOUrself challenge, too.

    Oh this is such a lovely layout, the photo is so special and I love the contrasting stripes at the bottom of your page and the pretty blue clouds on the top.. We are heading into summer here so the days are getting longer and hotter!! And most of all.. the days are flying by so quickly!! Have a great week!

    Wow, that is a gorgeous layout! I love the autumn trees and pumpkins, and your use of sprays and inks. The sky and clouds are beautiful. I esp love your photo, it is wonderful!!!

    This is so happy. I love the way you've used all the warm colour and the diagonal layout gives it an extra oomph. Love the blue fluffy clouds too.
