Together . . . always!

Good afternoon everyone!

Since I am retired, I have found that I have more time to do the things that I enjoy most.  One of them is scrapping.  I can't believe how much I have enjoyed scrapping again!

I came across an amazing challenge blog entitled CSI:  Color, Stories, Inspiration!

Each monthly challenge is set up just like a CSI investigation.  So cool!  I was totally drawn in.
As I read the "law and order" section, I found that you choose 3 (or more) items from the evidence clues, 1 item from the testimony clues, and create a layout based on the sketch and color scheme.

This month's first "Case File" is as follows:

The scheme:
I truly loved using these colors!

The sketch:

Here is my take on this month's investigation:

My evidence: I used plain white cardstock as my background.
I also used an xoxo banner, clouds, flowers, an arrow, puffy stickers, and word/phrase stickers, too.

My testimony: I used "repetition" as follows:

Time is flying by so quickly.
We just celebrated Easter with our daughters, my sister, brother-in-law, and my mom.
It was wonderful, but I felt a little sad after everyone left.
I think this holiday showed me just how much time has passed and everyone is getting older.
I remember holidays in the past when we celebrated with both entire families.
My mom and grandmother would cry when it was time to leave.
I never really understood how they felt until now.
Time flies . . .

I made this page reflecting how our family celebrates the holidays and how our family gatherings have changed and evolved as time goes by.  I sometimes feel a little sad when I think about how things have changed over the years. But at the end of the day, I know that we will still get together and celebrate, no matter now small.  And I am very happy about that!

Thank you so much, CSI for the inspiration!  I am so glad that I found your creative blog.  It was fun!!!

And thank YOU for stopping by my gallery today.

  8. Wonderful layout Sharon and love your journalling. It is true nothing ever stays the same as time goes on, but I guess we just have to be happy for the times we had and the new ones to be made
