I am writing because I attended an all day scrapbooking event yesterday, which I hardly every get the chance to do anymore. It was the Spring ALS Charity Crop in Souderton, PA:
I had a wonderful time scrapping with good friends and seeing some old friends there as well. And what could be better than getting a whole day to scrap while supporting a good cause?
Today I would like to share two of the many layouts that I made:
1) For my first page, I used this month's Creative Embellishments Challenge:
Their challenge is to use the photo below as your inspiration. Their twist is to incorporate
something that flies on your page.
I was inspired by the beautiful movement depicted on this work of art. And I was drawn to the gorgeous turquoise color.
Here is the layout I created:
As you can see, I incorporated stamps with butterfly wings and angels on my page. And I used Creative Embellishments beautiful "Out of this World" chipboard piece:
Here is a close-up:
If the photo looks familiar to you, it should! It was the one we used for our Christmas card this past December - I just converted it to black and white.
I would like to thank Creative Embellishments so much for inspiring me to make this scrapbook page!
2) The second layout that I made was created using a kit I purchased from "A Place to Create" entitled "It's the Little Memories," designed by Tina Ollett - please see more of her GORGEOUS scrapbook pages on Facebook and her blog.
Here is the layout I created using her kit:
I used a photo of Anne that I took when we went to Atlantic City for a long weekend last summer. I pretty much followed Tina's instructions and her design to the T. Thank you so much, Tina!
I would like to link my second layout to the Art Journal Journey challenge this month. There theme is
"Out and About!"
Thanks, Yvonne, for this month's awesome theme, and AJJ for your ever-ending support and inspiration!!
I will share some of the other layouts that I made yesterday at a later date . . .
Until then, I leave you with a wish that you are all well and enjoying March. We just got some snow on Friday and are expecting a Nor'easter storm on Monday evening which will last into Tuesday. For those of you how live in the zone of this storm, please stay safe!
And thank YOU so much for visiting my blog today. Hugs to all of you.
