Scrap our Stash Sketch Challenge # 28!

Good Morning everyone.  Happy Monday!  Can you believe that we are in our last week of July already?  As I have said before, the summer is flying by this year!

I am posting because I am up at the Scrap our Stash challenge blog today!  If you get a chance, please check it out.


Sketch #28 challenge is currently running and will be closing at the end of this month.  Here is the sketch:


I absolutely loved this sketch.  The challenge is to create a layout inspired by Emma Stafrace's sketch above and you must use a banner somewhere on your layout!  Emma is the guest sketch designer this month and to read more about her check out the SOS blog here!

Here is my take

I used a photo that I took of Anne which really displays her wonderful smile!  And I pretty much followed the sketch closely as I loved it so much!  I also challenged myself to use no inking on this layout - I tried to make it clean and simple to let Anne's smile be the focal point!

    Love your layout, as usual, Sharon! You are right to let Anne's smile be the focal point!! She's beautiful! I love your colors too. Yellow and aqua are just fantastic for summer. I agree that the summer is going too fast. Hope you are having a great one!

    Colour scheme...big tick.....cut photo....bigger tick.....that 'happy' put right on there in the white space ....biggest tick!!! Rather TICKled with this one....bet you are too:):):)!!!

    So sorry to hear that you have a stomach bug....get well soon. I love your page, the yellow and blue is gorgeous together. Sorry I have been Mia these past weeks. Life at the Mission just gets so hectic that blogging and scrapping tends to feature at the bottom of my priorities. I do miss the interaction and I miss my friends in the computer xx

    I've said it before, but I love how you interpret each sketch so well, but still make your own art.
    Everything on this page is glorious, the blues and the yellows and especially the photos of Anne, all radiating happiness.

    i´m not sure if it would be hard or easy to follow a sketch... i never tried that. but you do it so well, and the photo of anne is so lovely! i hope the nasty Virus is gone meanwhile and you are Feeling better!

    this is super lovely!! Wow on the split photo, that's a great design and with the full photo underneath. How cute are those little dragon flies! Oh dear, I do hope you feel better soon, you've really had a go with that awful tummy virus! AND I cant believe July is almost over!!! How on earth did that happen!

    Hello Sharon! What a beautiful layout, just love it so much!! Sweet pictures!! I can't believe today is August already, so sad that summer is almost over. Sorry you aren't feeling well, hope you get better very soon.
    Thanks so much for your blog visit, always nice seeing you there. My stepdad did pass away two nights ago, it was a long month of pain and suffering from his cancer so now he is at peace. That was the only down side to this summer, waiting each day to see if he would make it was wearing me down. Thank you for your prayers friend.
