Sing!

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday!  Today I would like to share a layout that I made for the One Little Word blog:

I was challenged by one of their design team members, Jessica, who visited my blog and asked me to join them this month at OLW for the word sing.  She said:  "maybe you can release your inner voice!"   Since release is my one little word for 2015, how could I resist?

So  . . . here is the layout I came up with using their word for the month, sing:

with some different views:

I love that Sesame Street song "Sing a Song" that was sung by the Carpenters!!  It just makes me happy and want to smile.   I used my new papers from Webster's Pages - the collection is entitled "Nest," and it is filled with beautiful papers like the one I used for the background.  And I found this photo of a robin singing in my stash, so I enlarged it and cut it out.   Thank you,  OLW, for the inspiration to make this layout!

I also would like to share some photos of Anne - we celebrated her 12th birthday on January 15th, then had a little family party for her.  (We sure did miss having Katie here as she is back at Penn State!)

Anne loves Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

Her cousins came to help her celebrate her birthday:

She enjoyed all of her gifts:

And my mom came because it was her 84th birthday this month, too!
Anne loved sharing her party with Nana!

And here is Anne with her cousins:

A fun time was had by all!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!  I hope that you are having a good January so far.  We were just hit by a snow storm and got about 7 to 8 inches of snow on Friday night.  I heard that we may get some more tonight and tomorrow night, too.  Old Man Winter is definitely here.

Hugs to you all.  Stay warm!

  19. Hi Sharon! I love your page; it's so pretty and dreamy. I do remember "Sing" from Sesame Street, but I never realized that the Carpenters sang it. I'll have to see if I can find a YouTube clip of their rendition.

Happy Birthday to Anne! Here cake is cool. Has your family seen the movie Framed, starring Trevor Eve? We just watched it as a family last week, and it's really sweet. It also has some Ninja Turtles references, so I think your family might enjoy it. :)
