Today I would like to share with you that I found an amazing blog through my friend Michelle and her blog:
And the challenge blog that she introduced me to is called: One Little word - celebrating the power of words!
They have 2 words to inspire us for the month of March - Calm and Dream.
I made this layout using the word calm for the Challenge YOUrself design team, and would love to enter it into their challenge for the month of March.
I encourage you to check out One Little Word, not only for the amazing art that you can find there, but also for the wonderful prizes that you can win this month!
I want to leave you with some photos that I took this past weekend. They were taken at Anne's first color guard competition of the year. Katie was home and was able to watch along with her dad and me! Their little 5th grade group is so adorable:
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs to you all!
Addendum: I have gotten some comments from people not know what color guard is. It has evolved from the military when they assigned a separate group of people to protect their colors aka their flags. Color guard has grown from simple flag spinning to a form of dance and expression using flags as props. If you want to learn more you can go to Wikipedia here! Thanks!!!

We are finally into spring but not sure mother nature knows it yet, lol.
It is sunny and a bit warm out there today. Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for sharing! HUGS!
Gee whizz...that flag stuff is pretty impressive...great skill....we went to a slightly different church a couple of weekends ago...& this lady was swingin' the incense around like it was going outta fashion...I reckon she must've done this sort of stuff as a kid...or they have an 'swingin' the incense pot' course somewhere!!! Like baton twirling & those Olympic ribbon dances...pretty gobsmacking....anyways...slightly off track!!! I LOOOOVE your LO - must go check out OLW [as if i NEEED another challenge site....eeek!!]...looove your page ...those heart 'strings' or 'kite'....gorgeous & the texture & colours..yum!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous LO and I love the colours. Thanks for joining us at one little word.
ReplyDeleteYour page is very pretty...I love the soft colors and all the hearts. Great photos of Anne...we have praise dancing in our church where dancing also is done with waving of flags.
