TGIF!

Good morning everyone!  Welcome Friday!  We have had so much snow, ice, freezing rain, and cold temps this week, it will be great to see the sun today!  I hope you all are safe and warm as I write  my blog post this morning.

Today, I would like to share the newest challenge at Challenge YOUrself.
This month's challenge is falls in February - the month of love!

♥ ♥  ♥ ♥

Challenge YOUrself wants to celebrate it!!

It's all about using this color scheme and scrapping about a person/people that you love this month!

It was easy for me to pick a picture that I wanted to scrap!  Here it is on my layout:

I used a photo of me, my cousin, Cindy, and my twin sister, Karen, taken back in 2008 at Cindy's niece's wedding!  Here are some close-ups of my layout:

Cindy and Karen are part of my family, but are such good friends to me as well.

As you will see below, our friendship started even before we were born.  My mom was pregnant with Karen and me; and my aunt was pregnant with Cindy at the same time!

Here they are at my sister, Cathy's birthday party:
My mom is on the left and my Aunt Marlene is on the right.  And that's Cathy looking at the camera through squinted eyes!!  Henceforth, our friendship began!

Here are Cindy, Karen, and me through the years . . . . .

Feeding the ducks at Cedar Beach Park:
Don't ask me which one is Karen and which one is me in this picture . . .I don't know!!!

Enjoying the waves at Barnegat Light, NJ:

As teens - another beach photo, this one taken at Rehoboth Beach in Delaware:

And here is a photo at Cindy's wedding:
That's Cindy, her sister, Lisa, Karen and me.  (Just look at the fashions back then!)

Thanks for taking the trip down memory lane with me once again!

As the Beatles said . . . . .

Have a wonderful day everyone!  HUGS to you all!

  9. Really nice LO. I like the colors and I like that you used a B/W photo- that always gives you more freedom with your paper colors because it doesn't matter what the people were wearing- it will always look good. I have to keep remembering that technique.
    Stay warm!

  10. Oh my gosh, those photos of you, your sister, and your cousin through the years are so sweet! They make me wish that I had a sister and close female cousins. (I have a brother and close male cousins, and I'm very grateful for them all, but sometimes I do wish for more female bonding time at family get togethers.) Your layout is so pretty and celebratory. I esp. like the mix-n-match banner.

Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend! :)

  16. Hello Sharon,

I love seeing these old pictures again, SOOOO CUTE!! It is funny to see what we wore back then, my kids already ask why I dressed them the way I did as babies. I think they looked adorable though.

Love the layout and the color theme for this too. So wonderful you have all stayed close all these years, love that!!
The weather is crazy here too, missing more school then we are going to school. Figured they will have more days off this week too, SIGH.

I'm happy to say that my blog finally just started working again, YAY!! Not sure why or how but it is. Posted some pictures finally just now, so happy it was working.
Have a wonderful week and stay warm and safe! Thanks so much for visiting me even when I had no pictures to share. HUGS!
