This week's colors for the Summer of Color are orange and hot pink! What a great color combination for summer, don't you think?! I immediately thought of my favorite flower: The Bleeding Heart! For me, when it blooms, it is the first sign of summer!! (and a wonderful childhood memory for me, I blogged about it a little while ago.) My mom's bleeding heart bush was beautiful and had to many blooms on it.
So without further ado, here is my page created with photos of my very own bleeding heart bush. It is still in it's baby stages, but I am so happy that it survived last year!
And speaking of orange and hot pink, here are some photos of the sunrise that I took this morning. It was spectacular!!
I can't begin to tell you how much I have loved seeing all of the amazing inspiration from the participants of the Summer of Color3! Please check out Kristen's blog if you have a chance!
. . . and thank you so much for taking time out to visit my blog today!
Oh- quite the sunrise! That will make an awesome layout! And speaking of awesome- I really like the bleeding hearts page. It's delicate and bold at the same time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to start the day- watching the sunrise! The clouds look amazing, Sharon. I've never seen Bleeding Hearts in person, can you believe that? How whimsical that they hang so delicately like dangling hearts. Love the LO you made and the unique scaled horizontal design with the flower pictures. Summer starts on Friday- enjoy!
