Our blog hop begins today, June 21, 2013, at 8:00 AM Eastern time and ends on Sunday, June 23 at midnight. (Eastern time)
If you are participating in our blog hop, you should have arrived here from Cindy's amazing blog!
And just in case you get lost along the way, here is the blog hop order:
Sharon Fritchman - that's me!
First of all, I want to welcome you to my blog, and welcome summer! I can't believe that it is the official first day of summer already! Time flies, doesn't it? I hope that you all enjoy it and have a wonderful time for the next couple of months!
What makes you think of summer? What inspires you about it? What do you like about it and what don't you like about it? I love everything and anything about it. The lazy, hazy days of summer have always been a favorite time for me, and they bring back wonderful childhood memories of family trips in our car (when my sisters and I were not fighting over who sits by the window!) and vacations.
To get you in the mood, here is an example of a favorite artist/author of mine, Susan Branch's work:
Summer was always the time for me to dream . . . about all kinds of wonderful things. Like for instance, what I was going to be when I grew up, if I would ever get married and have children . . . . all sorts of dreams were made during those lazy, hazy days of childhood and adolescence.

My theme for the scrapbook page that I am going to share with you today is "Summer Dreams!"
So without any further ado, here is my "Summer Dreams" layout:
Katie and Anne are walking arm in arm, and I can just imagine them thinking of their special summer dreams at that moment in time!!!
My inspiration came from a Mary Englebreit calendar page from last year:
I created my "porch" using cardboard,
some Crafter's Workshop templates:
and ink.
I "decorated" my porch using Webster's Pages paper that I had on hand.
And finally, my "rug" was made from a piece of white fabric that I sprayed with glimmer mist.
And that's not all! To thank you for participating in our blog hop, I am offering a $20.00 PayPal transfer here at my blog! All you have to do is leave me a comment and become a follower of my blog, if you aren't one already! That way, if you win, you can purchase whatever scrapbook/art supplies you like, and start working on summer pages!
Next . . . hop on over to the very talented Tanya's blog! I am excited to see what kind of summer fun she has to inspire us!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone and enjoy the beginning of summer. Thanks so much for your visit to my blog and for participating in the "Ideas for Scrapbookers" blog hop!
