A beautiful summer day!

Although summer has not officially arrived yet, it is in full swing here in Nazareth, PA!  We have been having so much fun so far this June.  We have had LOTS and lots of rain, but that has not dampened our spirits!

Today I would like to share with you the newest Color Me Scrappy challenge.  It is the last challenge for this design team's term and I have been graciously asked to stay on for one more term!  I am so honored and would love to play with colors for a couple more months!!!

Today's challenge has an amazing color scheme:

Isn't it beautiful?  And so perfect for summer photos, I think.  The twist this time is to use black and white photos and a square grid pattern on your layout.

Here's how mine turned out:

The photo is of Anne and taken last year at my cousin's annual 4th of July picnic!  I was inspired by a sketch found on page 117 of Becky Fleck's PageMaps2 book!  I used this sketch in the past, and know that I will use it again, because I love it so much!!!

Thanks, Becky Fleck, for your continued inspiration to scrappers everywhere!!!

So what are you waiting for?  Head over to Color Me Scrappy with your black and white photos and start scrapping those summer photos!  YAY!

Have a wonderful day today.  Our weather is going to be sunny and warm for a change.  We are taking John out for a pre-Father's Day dinner tonight.  Looking forward to spending some quality time with John and the girls.  He has been traveling so much lately and it is good to have him home!

Thank you so much for taking a peek at my blog today.  I love your visits!

  6. That is a FUN color combo...so cheery, Sharon. Nice LO! I like the B&W photo with the square design. Way to go. Rain, huh? We rarely have summer rain but did experience that when we traveled to New Mexico. It was different for us and we enjoyed it. It never got too cold and the rain came and went and soon the sun was out. Enjoy Father's Day with your family. Thanks for your visits :)

  20. Wow- the photo is great- good choice to go B/W for that! I'm guessing her swimsuit didn't match the colors you were aiming for... isn't it great that we can make it work just by tweaking the photo? I did that the other day with kiddo's track pictures. I'll put the LOs on my blog soon.
I love the stitched grid of colors!
    Altogether a fun layout!
