Our first snowfall!

Our first snowfall of the season happened last Tuesday.  It was a magical kind of snow - it snowed all day long, but I did not stick to the driveway and I did not have to shovel!  YAY!  Good thing because I actually was home sick from work with a bad cold with a fever.  I had a terrible case of laryngitis that lasted from Thanksgiving day through the following Thursday.  I finally got my voice back and was feeling better this past Friday.

Here are some of the photos that I ran out and took during the snow fall:

In our back yard, Kita was having a blast:

The snow really stuck to the grasses.  It was that kind of snow with the really big flakes!

. . .and the following day, I went out right before dusk to take some photos.  We had about an inch to 2 inches of snow on the ground and it looked lovely!

the geese are flying south right now . . .

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.  I am hosting a challenge over at Scrap-Friendzy, so check in on Friday to see the latest layout I made using one of my photos from our first snow fall!
Happy Sunday everyone!  (I am really excited - we are putting up our Christmas tree today and my sister, Karen, and brother-in-law, Tim, are coming over to help decorate!!!!!)

  1. Hello Sharon, I'm so sorry you weren't feeling well for Thanksgiving. Glad you are doing better now and VERY VERY happy you took these gorgeous pictures. I LOOOOVE the first snow and get so excited to take pictures of all the pretty whiteness over the yard. These are all wonderful and the shadow one is my favorite. My dog loves the snow too. Thanks so much for sharing and can't wait to see the layout you did with these!!! Happy December!

  2. p.s. We are hoping to put our tree up today too and how nice that you have family coming over to help. I'm not that laid back and have to have the tree done a certain way, haha even with my kids it's hard. HAVE FUN!!

  3. The geese are probably coming here -- since it was a horrible 82 yesterday!! LOL!! I loveeeeeeeeeee all the photos!!! I miss snow!!!!

  4. Beautiful! I love looking at these pictures. It doesn't snow here, so I have to enjoy Winter Wonderland vicariously. Glad you're feeling better!

  5. Love those shots- especially on the grasses! I've been haunting the weather sites since Thanksgiving- wondering if we will get any white stuff this year. Looks like maybe maybe maybe mid December!
