Happy Mother's Day!

Just wanted to take some time to wish all of the moms, aunts, big sisters, step-moms, and everyone who has been a mom to someone, a very . . .

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

And my mom holding my identical twin sister and me way back when! I can only imagine how many sleepless nights she had those first couple of years!

And some momisms to share with you:

First, the mom song:






  • Get moving:  now march!
  • Don't make that face or it'll freeze in that position.
  • If I talked to my mother like you talk to me....
  • Money doesn't grow on trees.
  • Wear clean underwear just in case you are in a car accident.
  • Be careful or you'll put your eye out.
  • What if everyone jumped off a cliff? Would you do it, too?
  • Close that door! Were you born in a barn?
  • If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
  • Don't put that in your mouth; you don't know where it's been!
  • Be careful what you wish for, it might come true.
  • Because I said so.
  • If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times.
  • If you fall out of that tree and break you leg , don't come running to me.
  • Yes, I AM the boss of you.
  • Just wait till your father gets home.
  • No dessert till you clean your plate.
  • I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it! 
  • I've got eyes in the back of my head, that's how
  • Just you wait until you have kids of your own: then you'll understand
  • I slaved for hours over a hot stove and this is the thanks I get?!
  • Honestly... you'd lose your head if it wasn't attached!
  • Bored! How can you be bored? I was never bored at your age.
  • Who'll end up walking, bathing and feeding it...?  Me!

    • And last but not least, the best momism of all:


  • It doesn't matter what you accomplish, I will always love you and be proud of you!


    • I am off to have breakfast in bed - made by my family.  They are the best!

      This was a lot of fun to read! My favourite: I've got eyes in the back of my head, that's how. My kids are only two and I already can see how that statement is SO TRUE!!!! Think we just learned to listen a lot more closely to what they're doing? That's my theory!!

      Its cool that you're an identical twin!!!! I just love that picture of your mom holding you and your sister! I've got a few of those! Even though the girls are frats, I often think they've got the same 6th sense that identicals do...And the picture of you holding Anne for the first time--heart melting!!!!!!!
