My sister, Karen, and best friend, Barb, try to plan a ski trip to Blue Mountain Ski Resort in PA every year. We don't get to ski much any more, and all three of us absolutely love it, although we are not experts by any stretch of the imagination. I would say we are in the beginner to intermediate levels. Anyway, we went this past Wednesday, and unfortunately Barb got sick and couldn't go. We really missed her.
It was such a gorgeous day Here is the lodge at Blue Mountain.
The sun was shinning so beautifully. We arrived around 8:30, and practically had the slopes to ourselves for the first hours.
All in all, we both did GREAT. We had a few spills, and let me tell you, trying to get up after falling skiing was not easy at our age - lol, but for the most part, we had no problems.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my blog! I love One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish too! I also love Go Dog Go! LOL Dr. Seuss was a genius. Hehe They still make me smile when I read them to the kiddos!
Wow - fantastic photos. Makes me wish I would have learned to ski just so I could take in the BEAUTIFUL scenery.
ReplyDeleteScenic! I agree the area is pretty...you are brave women, Sharon!! I would not ski for fear of breaking something or hurting my back. I hurt my back last summer just scrubbing the shower! LOL~
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics Sharon! It's so awesome from up there! Amazing how much snow we have just over the mt.
ReplyDeleteOoooo! That looks so pretty and so fun! I tried downhill skiing on Mt Hood once. It was kind of slushy snow, so I didn't do too well. I stuck to cross-country after that!
ReplyDeleteI bet you'll have fun scrapping those pics!
You two are too cute! A beautiful day!

I will definitely keep you posted my friend! Hope you have the BEST week!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun!! I've never learned how to ski!
ReplyDeleteTook Ava on MLK day--it was her first time and my first time in about 20 years!!!!--wish I had thought to take Ibuprofen before I hit the slopes--but only a couple tumbles for both of us --no broken bones thank God and happy to report not too sore the next day--but can def relate to it being harder to pick yourself and all the equipment up these days!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pix!!!
