Have Faith . . . for ArtStacks!

Hi everyone!  It's nearly the end of July and I have one more page, made for ArtStacks, to share today:

This time, I made a mixed media art journal page using ArtStacks' Art & Nature pack from the Gelatin Printing Enthusiasts' new releases:

Here is my art journal page:

I absolutely love and had to feature the ArtStacks image entitled "Light in the Trees" by the very talented Vicki Reid from their "Art & Nature" pack. The serene image of the birds, trees and light spoke to me and inspired me to create my art journal page made about faith. I also stitched on sentiments from Tamara Laporte's "Fabulous Faces" pack to help convey my feelings.

You can find the "Gelatin Printing Enthusiasts" packs at www.artstacks.com.au/shop!

I am also linking my page to  Art Journal Journey Monthly's Come Fly With Me theme:

This month is hosted by Alison whose blog is Craftytrogs Arty Adventures and theme for July is "Come Fly With Me."

Alison says: "For this theme, you can use anything that flies.  Birds, Insects, fairies, aircraft, hot air balloons, etc,  can all be used on your pages.  I hope you have fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing your beautiful art!"

If you look closely at Vicky Reid's beautiful image, you can see birds sitting on the ground, in the trees, and one is even flying!

I want to thank ArtStacks and Vick Reid;  and Art Journal Journey and Alison for their  inspiration this month.

And thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

Believe in Magic . . . for ArtStacks

Hi everyone!  I'm up at ArtStack's blog today - I'm sharing a page I created for ArtStacks using their newest releases:

I made a 12 x 12 mixed media art journal page:

I featured images from one of ArtStacks Gelatin Printing Enthusiasts packs:

I am in awe of the beautiful images created by the Gelatin Enthusiasts Group artists and I couldn't wait to feature 3 of them on my project, specifically "Poppies" by Amber Bennison, "Feathered Friends" by Marie Cimpl and "Blissful Balance" by Vicki Reid! They are from the ArtStacks "Art & Nature" pack. To learn more about all of the images in both of the new Gelatin Printing Enthusiasts packs, please head over to ArtStacks' shop.

In addition, I was inspired by a fellow ArtStacks Artist Team member, Paula Perry, who created 2 art journal pages last year using a grid technique! You can find her pages on the ArtStacks blog here and here!

I hope you get to check out ArtStacks' blog for more info and to see all of their talented artists' creations!

I am also linking my page up to  Art Journal Journey Monthly's July theme:

This month is hosted by Alison - her blog is Craftytrogs Arty Adventures.   Alison's theme for July is "Come Fly With Me."

Alison says: "For this theme, you can use anything that flies.  Birds, Insects, fairies, aircraft, hot air balloons, etc,  can all be used on your pages.  I hope you have fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing your beautiful art!"

As you can see, all of the "Feathered Friends" on my page have wings!  Yay!

I want to thank Alison and Art Journal Journey for the wonderful inspiration.

And thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

You Will Find Your Way Home . . . for More Than Words!

Hi everyone!   It's July and time for some new challenges.

The July Challenge at More Than Words opened this month:

For those of you who don't know, More Than Words is an art journaling challenge blog with one main theme to inspire you each month.

Here is July's Challenge:

This month's theme is all about a MASH-UP. You can choose two or more themes from this year's challenges to inspire your pages.

Here are the January to June challenge themes:

• January - Time
• February - Love Letters
• March - Home
• April - Being Green
• May - Celebrations
• June - Art Supplies

And here's my art journal page:

My 12 x 12 mixed media page incorporates a MASH UP of four of our MTW themes as follows: the color GREEN, a CELEBRATION of owls, a quote about HOME, and my favorite ART SUPPLIES, which are ArtStacks packs.

The owl, (entitled "Swoop") created by Kimberly Kohr, and the "Poppies," created by Amber Bennison, are both from the new Gelatin Printing Enthusiasts "Art & Nature" pack:

And the quote is from Tamara Laporte's "Fabulous Faces" pack:

All are from ArtStacks!

I hope you can play along with us this month at More Than Words!

I am also linking my page up to July's Art Journal Journey Monthly challenge:

This month is hosted by Alison, whose blog is Craftytrogs Arty Adventures and her theme for July is "Come Fly With Me."

Alison says: "For this theme, you can use anything that flies.  Birds, Insects, fairies, aircraft, hot air balloons, etc,  can all be used on your pages.  I hope you have fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing your beautiful art!"

And as you can see, the centerpiece of my page is the owl, which can definitely fly!

I want to thank Alison and Art Journal Journey for this awesome challenge.

And thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.  Enjoy July!
