Good Times!

Hi everyone. Welcome 2021!

Today I would like to share a layout that I made for the new challenge at Scrap the Boys:

This month's challenge is all about using a beautiful mood board as your inspiration:
Don't you just love these gorgeous colors?

I decided to use a photo of my dad and uncle taken back in 1949.  They were at the beach at Atlantic City and I believe it was Easter Sunday:

And here is my completed page:

I used the Cocoa Vanilla Studio "Boys Rule" collection and some fussy-cut embellishments from the Authentique "Sea-Maiden" collection, which were in my stash.  I thought the colors were PERFECT for this mood board.  I know my mom, grandmother and grandfather were with them that day, which makes this layout all the more special to me because sadly, my mom passed away on December 30, 2020.  You can see my tribute blog post here.

And because the beach is one of my most favorite things ever, I am also linking my layout to this month's theme, hosted by Erika, at Art Journal Journey Monthly, which is "favorite things!"

Here are some close-ups:

Wishing you all a wonderful new year.  I hope that 2021 brings you much health and happiness.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. Happy Scrapping!

  1. This is an great page Sharon. Which one was you dad? I think the younger one? It is a super vintage photo. They both look so handsome in their probably Easter finest. I also love the beach or anything to do with the ocean or the beach. I can see why this is one of your favorite things. Thanks for starting off the month with this great scrapbook page and joining us here at AJJ. Happy new year too. I hope you have a good one. Hugs-Erika

  5. Gorgeous page, Sharon. That picture is awesome (they are dressed so well and so handsome) and your colors are perfect. Love every detail. So sorry for your loss - I lost my Pop 12.26.20, so I am hurting with you. Wish we could have a cup of coffee and share stories. Those memories have to hold us. That is another reason this page is so wonderful.
