The Ocean is Calling . . . for Art Journal Journey!

Hi everyone!

Since I had to remove my Tiger King page because Creative Scrapbooking Magazine is going to publish it, I decided to make another for Erika's "When it's Hot" theme for Art Journal Journey Monthly!
This time, I chose to make a scrapbook page about the ocean, because to me, the beach is the best way to beat the heat when it's hot.  Also, our weather in Pennsylvania has been extremely hot and considered a heat wave for the past 5 days. Whew!  (I wish we could go to the beach, but it's impossible right now, with COVID being on the rise in certain states, like Delaware.)

Here is my completed page:

I used papers and embellishments from the Echo Park "Lets Be Mermaids" collection.  I enjoyed using this collection as it is so much fun and has been in my stash for awhile.

I also used a favorite photo taken at Bethany Beach:

Here are some close-ups of my scrapbook page:

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.  And thank you, Erika & everyone at AJJ Monthly for always inspiring me to make new pages.

Happy crafting everyone!

  6. Oh yes, we do miss the beach right now. I've just gazed at your lovely beach photo for a minute to remember what it was like. Soon, soon we'll both be there again hopefully.
Your beach looks very jolly with the coloured bunting and fishes and I do like the baby turtle (I think it is a baby, it looks sweet).
That's great about being published - well done!
Thanks so much Sharon, for your recent comment on Orange E. I appreciate your enthusiastic comments, they mean a lot to me.

  10. Sharon, your page is super colorful, has 42,000 fab details, and just totally draws the eye toward that beautiful picture. The banner and the jelly fish are so cute and that wood background just anchors it all so well. So fabulous! I love it!!!
