In My Daughters' Eyes: August Scraps of Darkness kit, 2017

Hi fellow scrappers!

I'm here today sharing the first layout made with the August, 2017, Scraps of Darkness "Sparkle and Shine" kit!

Here's a picture of the main kit:

This kit features Prima's "Rose Quartz" papers as well as Simple Stories' "Beautiful" papers.

I thought they were absolutely perfect papers to feature a favorite photo that I took of my daughters on Mother's Day this year:

If you are reading this blog, I know you must love scrapping as much as I do!!!  Here's my layout:

I used the main kit's papers from the Simple Stories collection and the cardstock add on's "Sweetie Pie" as the basis of my page and went from there.  Make sure you check out all of the add-on kits because they go with the main kit beautifully and you will have lots of coordinating supplies, too.

I enjoyed using some die cuts in my own stash such as Tim Holtz's mini rosettes, elegant flourishes, and Sizzix's sun and clouds.

And I wanted to express just how much my daughters mean to me by highlighting the Martina McBride lyrics "In my Daughter's Eyes:"

Here are some more close-ups:

I hope you have as much fun as I did scrapping with this kit and the coordinating add-ons.

Because the kits go quickly each month, please check out the Scraps of Darkness Store soon!

Happy Scrapping!
