Hi everyone! Welcome August! We are enjoying hot and humid weather in PA today - a perfect summer day as compared to the torrential rain of last week. YAY!
Today I would like to share the second layout that I made with the July Scraps of Darkness "Wayfarer" kit:
As I said in my last post, this kit contains gorgeous papers from
Blue Fern Studios'
Wanderlust Collection:
These papers definitely remind me of years gone by!!! I felt very nostalgic and couldn't wait to scrap a favorite old photo.
Here is the 12 X 12 layout I came up with:
I featured a treasured photo that was taken back in 1963 of my dad, mom, my twin sister, and me at the NJ shore. I added hidden journaling on the back of my page about how my dad and mom didn't have much money back then, but they worked hard to take us on at least one day trip every summer to the shore. I have many fond memories from those days!!!
I enjoyed using
the frame and stamp set from the elements add-on:
And the transfers, stencil, and spritz from the creativity add-on:
Again, scrapbooking doesn't have to be difficult or overwhelming. With just a few elements at your fingertips, you can create a layout in just one day!!!
Here are some close ups of my page:
Take a minute to stop by the
Scraps of Darkness blog and
store to learn more about them, their designers, their products, and the awesome kit club memberships.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.
Happy Scrapping!
