Once Upon a Time . . .

Good Morning everyone and welcome to Monday.  I awoke to rain this morning and was very happy to see it. We are in need of rain so much and noticed yesterday that the streams are very low right now.  Thank you, God, for your small miracles that you bestow on us every day.

Today I would like to share a layout that I made for the Scrap our Stash Sketch +3 Challenge as follows:

Here is my layout:

I loved using this sketch as inspiration and used the following items from each list:
List 1: the color "Desert" on my middle flower
List 2: the color "English Green" on my background paper
List 3: flowers

Thank you, Scrap our Stash, for the inspiration to make this layout.  I had this paper and beautiful chipboard from a kit that I purchased from ScrapMatts!!

Here are some different views and close-ups:

And I would like to end by sharing the photos that I took at Jacobsburg State Park this past summer:

I hope you enjoyed following us through the park!  These were taken at the beginning of September when the weather was still quite warm.  We try to go for a walk together as a family at least once a week during these busy times.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today.  Hugs!!!

  10. Oh isnt it lovely to get rain when it is really needed... ? it makes it all the more precious and such a blessing too... We are in need of rain here too as we go into summer in the next few months.. So I am trusting that God knows just when to send it too... I love this layout.. I love the frames around your photo and I wonder if the scrapmatts you mentioned is the same scrapmatts I am on the design team for? that is amazing to know it has travelled over to you.. so glad you enjoyed using the kit!! The photos are lovely, and a beautiful take on the layers in the sketch too.. and your black and white photos look wonderful. what drama the black and white add to the scenes.. I hope your week is going well, and you get some more rain for your stream.. a gargling stream is such a lovely site to behold!! We have a little creek behind our place and it has been dry for a long time... perhaps the summer rains will fill it once more!!!

  20. Hello Sharon, gorgeous layout and I love the series of photos that you have used and the frames. I really enjoy looking at your photos , they are always lovely. Where I live we have had LOTS of rain and raining today as well. I try not to ever complain about the rain as I believe it is better than being in drought , which we are prone to in our summers. Hope you have a wonderful week
