My bliss!

Hi everyone!  Today I would like to share a layout that I made for the More Than Words challenge this month.  Remember how I said that I was going to try to participate in a blog challenge at least once a month for my new year's resolution?  Seems like I made it just before the end of the month!  And . . . here it is:

Creative Challenge - GESSO

 I was fascinated by this challenge:  the word bliss was so easy for me to use:

When I think of bliss, I think of my adopted daughter, Anne, and her friends that were adopted from China that very same year.  Some of them were even from the same orphanage!  Nothing makes my happier than seeing them together after all of these years.  They are all 13 now!  Where does the time go??

For the creative part of the challenge, I used white gesso on my stars and under the yellow sunbursts:

I used black gesso in my scallops and I stamped with black gesso on the strips above the scallops:

I had so much fun making this layout!  I want to thank More Than Words for inspiring me to add gesso to my page and to use the word bliss!  

I actually started this layout at a recent weekend crop I attended with a wonderful friend of mine who is a mom of one of the girls in the photo.  Isn't that something?!  Thanks Lisa!!!
