I am . . .

Good Morning everyone!  Happy weekend!  I hope you are all as happy for the weekend as I am!  Last week was a full moon, and although very beautiful to look at, it sure can bring out the "nasty" in people.  My triage nurses and I have had to deal with a lot of  "nastiness" on the phone at work last week.  I am hoping for a calmer and nicer one starting this Monday.

Today I would like to share the latest challenge at Challenge YOUrself!

This month's challenge is a color challenge using this very cool color palette:

In addition, the challenge wants you to include "I am . . ." in your title or journaling!

Here is my layout:

With some close-ups:

My husband, John, and I are going to be celebrating 25 years of marriage on March 3rd of this year, so I thought this would be a perfect time to scrap this.  My daughter, Anne, took the photo of the 2 of us walking . . . it looks like a silhouette, and I loved the effect!!!  (Thanks Anne!!)  To get the colors from the palette above, I added stickles to the trees and stitching around the outside of the page.  And I used more paper from the collection that I have been obsessed with lately, Webster's Pages "All that Glitters."

So that's it!  If you want to see more, head over to Challenge YOUrslef to see what the rest of the design team did with this challenge.

I will leave you with some examples of the projects that I have been making for my Life Book 2015 class!

Here's a daily affirmation jar:

a ballerina:

a watercolor word art project:

a watercolor tag:

a dream catcher:

. . . and a feather art mixed media project:

I must say, I have a lot to learn, but I am really, really enjoying this year long class so far! (Did I say really?  I mean it!!)  To learn more about the amazing Lifebook classes, check out Tamara Laporte's website!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!  Have a good weekend everyone!  HUGS!!!

  27. I have a cousin who is a nurse, and she often remarks on how crazy people can get around the time of the full moon. So sorry that you have to go through that.

On to happier topics, Happy Anniversary! Did you do anything special to celebrate?

That photo by Anne is so cool. At first I thought it was a stamped image! I love how you fitted it in to the scene in the background paper.

Take care and try to stay warm!
