The summer seems to by flying by so quickly. I cannot believe that today is July 2nd already, and the 4th week of the
Summer of Color is here!
Week 4's Summer of Color colors are bright, fun and perfect for a summer layout!
Pink & Apple Green
with a Smudge, Splash or Pop of Dark Green
For this week's challenge, I wanted to use one of the photos that I took at Arrowhead Lake last weekend. My daughter
, Anne, my sister, Karen, my friend, Barb and I had a girls weekend together!! We had so much fun and hated to see the weekend come to an end. The thing that struck me most this time was how beautiful the flowers and wildlife are there. Here are some of the photos that I took:
A beautiful dragonfly:
A gorgeous Iris:
The sweet deer:
And an adorable chipmunk:
I decided to use one of these photos along with this week's colors to make a scrapbook page. The first photo, the one with the dragonfly, is the one I finally picked for my layout.
And here are some close-ups:
I encourage you to check out
Kristin's blog to see what everyone else is creating. The participants are all amazing, talented, and very different in their own way! It is really inspirational to take part in this summer challenge. Thanks again, Kristin!
And thank you for stopping by my blog today.
I will leave you with a photo of Barb, Karen, and Anne taken at Arrowhead Lake!
