Here are this week's colors:
Coral & Teal
with a Smudge, Splash or Pop of Bright White
My take on the colors (coral and teal, with a pop of bright white) is as follows. John and I spent this past week in Cancun, Mexico, because he won a trip where he works. Very exciting, I know! I decided to edit one of the photos that I took while we were visiting this beautiful place, for my entry this week, because we just got home:
The coral is in the pillows on the chairs, the teal color, of course, is the pool and ocean, and the bright white is in the clouds! It was gorgeous there and we felt very, very blessed to be able to go on this amazing vacation. We were sad to leave, but knew it was time to come home. Here is one more photo that I took on the beach one morning:
As always after any vacation, we both agreed that there is no place like home!!! We were extremely happy to come home to be with our beautiful daughters and wonderful dog.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!
I hope you are enjoying the Summer of Color this year as much as I am. Thanks Kristin!
What a really good idea when you are just back from holiday. I can't imagine how you managed to change the colours on your photo so successfully, it's very skilful and effective.
ReplyDeleteHow clever you are Sharon! And congrats on the fabulous holiday. How exciting. But, you're right, there's no place like home.

ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome trip. Hey Sharon, are you doing the blog hop post with Adrianna Bolzon? If not, would you like to do with me. (Not a hard one, it's about what you're working on now, what inspires you.) Post would be week of July 14th. Love the photo of your girls.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky gal to have such a fabulous vacation. And to choose the colors as your SOC entry. I swear this could be a postcard, from the angle at which it was taken. Being home always feels good, too, of course.
ReplyDeleteStunning photo! Can't wait to see how you scrap it. And I'm totally with you - as nice as it is to visit other places, there really is no place like home.

ReplyDeleteOhhhh those loungers in the water! Now I am not a bikini or even swimsuit or even three quarter length jean type girl (although am fast approaching changing my mind about shorter jeans) ... but am baking hot right now and would lay fully clothed on one of those loungers in that water *siiiiigh*

ReplyDeleteLovely photos...the beach will always be my happy place.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a lovely vacation. Beautiful photos
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing your photos, even though we'd just recently gotten back from Cancun ourselves - I already missed being there! :) There is just no getting over the colors there - the ocean, the lagoon side, the sand, the sky, the clouds - it's all so beautiful!! :) I had in my mind that I wanted to use a collection for my trip album like Teresa Collins Memories - peach, ivory, soft coral, soft aqua, etc - but when I started looking through my photos, they all had such bright, vibrant colors that I knew I needed to use a different color scheme. I didn't even think about altering my photos! Yours came out beautifully! So glad you had a good time, but you're right - it's always nice to come home! ;)
ReplyDeleteWow what a beautiful place, although like you I am always glad to come home. I love your photo treatment, such a wonderful way to use the colour combo. Thanks for your kind comments about my snails! :o)
