Today is reveal day at Challenge YOUrself,
and the topic is . . .
"Keep calm and . . ."
In the past few months that my mom has been sick and hospitalized, it has been very important for me to find a way to keep calm. One of the ways I have found to do just that is to go for a walk.
And as much as I love to go for a walk with my family, I love to go for a walk by myself, too. It gives me great peace and helps me to think and sort things out, too.
Here are some close-ups of my layout:
I hope you all get a chance to check out the latest challenge at:
And on a very happy note, John is driving up to Penn State to pick Katie up today! She will be home a week for Spring Break! John, Anne and I are looking forward to seeing her! ♥
Safe travels, John and Katie! ♥
And thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!
Hugs to you all! ♥
Hi There! I hope things are going well for you! I do love your layout, and love the photo too..it reminds me of the foot prints poem.. love the heart and pearls,,the earthy look of the corrugated card and hessian.. fabulous texture on your back ground too.. lots of thought has gone into this.. and I too love walking especially along a beach.. I tend to put my head down and walk, and often have to remember to turn around and go back and then try and remember where I started from!! Have a good weekend!

ReplyDeleteSharon, I hope your family cherishes your time together in the next week.
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon, so wonderful to hear about your walks even in the winter, much braver then me. I too enjoy some walks on my own, even just in my big yard, a peace comes over me too. This layout is so calm and pretty, love it. Is that a string of pears in there, where did you get that and how is it attached, what a great idea for added texture. Beautiful photo, love when the cold, snowy days can still be pretty.
ReplyDeleteYAY for Katie coming home, enjoy that time with her. We had spring like weather yesterday, felt so good. Took the little ones outside and they soaked it up too. The temps will be warm this weekend but mix of snow/rain too, YUCK!! Just this one day lifted my spirits and kept me smiling all day.
I thought of you when watching Middle the other night, so cool that you like it too. I am going to try and post something new this morning or evening, if not then probably on Tuesday for T Time again.
Happy Weekend dear friend!! hugs and love!!
Fun fun fun xoxo!!
