Scrap Africa Guest Designer and Color Me Scrappy!

Good Morning everyone!  Happy weekend!  I am so happy that  the weekend is finally here.  It is going to be a beautiful day!!

I want to share my exciting news - I was asked to be a guest designer for Scrap Africa,s current challenge on their blog!

I can't even begin to tell you how honored and happy I was to be asked!  Please check out their blog  -  I have always gotten lots of inspiration there!

For the current challenge #18, they are using the following sketch:

And here is the layout that I came up with:

I used one of the photos that I took at Arrowhead Lake last month and was inspired by the lyrics to the song "Daydream" by the Lovin' Spoonful.  It is a song from the 60's and was one of my favorites!  Oh, it still is.

Don't you think that Arrowhead Lake inspires daydreams!?  I do!!!

I also want to share with you the current challenge going on at Color Me Scrappy!  Here are the color scheme and sketch:

Aren't they amazing?  I was inspired to make a layout for my cousin's beautiful daughter who graduated from Penn State last month:

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.  I know that I have been kind of missing in action lately, but things at home are extremely busy right now with Katie being home from college and Anne's school year coming to a close.  We participated in the Teal Ribbon 5K last weekend in memory of my sister, Cathy!  I will be posting more pictures soon.

I hope you enjoy the weekend.!

Thank you once again, Scrap Africa!!!
And please check out Color Me Scrappy for another wonderful challenge!  I fell very happy to be on their design team!

Thanks so much for the comments on my blog, love seeing you visit. Funny we both had to wear our winter coats on that Friday, such a drastic change it was from the hot weather we had earlier.

  19. Hi again, I have some ideas on my post today that you and Anna might be interested in, Katie too if she wants of course. Hoping you will want to as a way to do some art journaling in a small way Sharon. I really miss seeing your creative art journal side, you are a natural and should keep doing it. These are little easy to do things for us busy moms over the summer.
