Celebrating a birthday and an anniversary!

Good Morning everyone!  Please check back tomorrow to see my take on the latest Color Me Scrappy Challenge!  But today I would like to share some of the photos that my twin sister Karen, and  I took at the Phillies' baseball game we attended on April 19.  We were celebrating Katie's 19th birthday and my sister, Karen, and her husband, Tim's, 20th anniversary, which was on April 17th!

Katie came home for the weekend to celebrate her 19th birthday!  We were thrilled to have her home, but we were a little worried when we saw the weather forecast for that day - cold, rainy, and windy.  There was actually a tornado watch, but it was not in the general vicinity of Citizen's Bank Park.  Whew!

Here's Aunt Karen, Katie and Anne:

Look at how my hair was blowing around!  Katie's hat would not stay on her head, either!
The pictures outside the park were taken by Aunt Karen!

My husband, John, arranged the birthday and anniversary celebration a month before the game! We checked in at the "Birthday Check-in Desk!"

And enjoyed some pre-game activities, like eating dinner and walking around:

My twin sister, Karen, and Katie are avid Phillies fans!!!!

My niece loves Roy Halladay, so I took this photo for her! (He happened to be pitching that night!)

Tim and Karen with the photo frame that they got as their anniversary gift:
 Enjoying dinner:

Next, we went to our seats and started watching the game.  In the 2nd inning, a young lady came and sang Happy Birthday to Katie!  She got the whole crowd singing and threw confetti on her:

 Katie received a birthday card:

And after the 4th inning, this was on the scoreboard:

It was so much fun to see!!!!!

Of course, Anne's favortie part of the game was the snacks:

Also, I almost forgot to mention that it was Jackie Robinson Day:

Afterwards,I really wanted to make a layout to give to Katie as her birthday gift.
So I used Heather Landry's sketch #36 for inspiration:

And here is my page:
I thought Heather's sketch was perfect for these photos!

One of the best parts about the game was that the Phillies won against the St. Louis Cardinals!!!

I loved the scoreboards you can see all across the stadium:

The final score was 8-2!  YAY!!!!!
Karen and Katie said that it was the best time that they ever had at a Phillies game!

We got to see everything just before it began to rain at the bottom of the 7th inning.  The game was eventually called because of the weather, giving the Phillies the victory:

If you want to learn more about the Philadelphia Phillies, you can check out their official website here!

And please remember to go to Heather's blog here to see her awesome sketch and also to see what the rest of the design team made with it!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!  We are supposed to have a very nice Spring day today!  Almost just like yesterday - cool in the morning and sunny and warm in the afternoon!!!
