More hate, and love . . .

I have more Mixed Emotions to share with you this morning!

First, I created another page using the emotions "Hate."  This time, I wanted to convey how I feel about thunder and lightening . . .

I was eager to try the pin technique that Marit taught us with this lesson.  So I took a pin from my sewing kit and began pricking the letters with it from the opposite side.  I kind of like the way it conveys the emotion here, and it was fun to get all of my aggression out, too!

Thank you Marit, once again, for teaching this awesome lesson!

The second page I want to share this morning is about love.  I saw a wonderful challenge at Scrap Africa that Lynette is hosting and it is all about hearts and love.

Here is the page I created:

I took this photo at Disney World last year during the flower and garden festival at EPCOT.  I loved seeing each imaginative topiary, but this one was my absolute favorite, as Cinderella is the Disney movie I most love!

Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog.  I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.   The sun is out today - YAY!  (Last week was full of gloomy and rainy weather!)

  2. Wow Sharon - two very strong emotions (at opposite ends of the spectrum), and you were able to capture and convey both emotions PERFECTLY. The "HATE" piece looks so angry and foreboding and the "LOVE" layout is so sweet and charming. Your artisty is quite amazing.

  8. Hi Sharon,

What a sweet and lovey page this is!! I too love the Cinderalla and prince story too. In my Disney album there is special gold hearts around them to remember it by. Even Cinderalla made Sam blush when he met her, he was only 3 but boy she got him good, ha!

Love the softness and pretty things on this page, great job!

I wanted to share another blog with you that does sketches each week. I've been following her for over 2 years and love her so much. Her name is Allison and it's at http://allisondavis.blogspot.com, hope that is right if not her link is on the right side of my blog. She shares a sketch each week and encourages you to use it or change it up to fit you. Let me know what you think!

I LOVE LOVE that we both talk/share/enjoy telling the weather details on our blog posts. We are finally getting some sun and temps in the mid 30's today, YEA!!! Enjoy your Monday!

  12. Two amazing LO's!! Isn't it interesting how we can have different reactions to the same thing. I love lightning storms. I love to sit and watch them. At the same time, I can see how they could be frightening. Love how you used the fibers on the second page! ~ Blessings, Tracey

  13. I hate, hate, HATE lightning. We've been having some terrible storms here and I've just been cringing. So I'm right there with you! I love your love page! It's so soft and sweet. You did a great job conveying emotion on both of these pages!
