Look at My Sweet Daughters

I ordered, and just received this beautiful frame in the mail from one of my favorite artists and cook book authors, Susan Branch.  At susanbranch.com you can find so many darling images about her life, her amazing blog, and her online store. Her store even has an entire section about scrapbooking!  You absolutely cannot go away from her website in a bad mood.

I decided that I would put my new frame to good use by making a scrapbook page for my desk at work.  I am not allowed to put holes in the walls, but this frame comes with an easel, so I can display it on my desk!  How cool is that?

I am still using up bits and pieces of my "Barn Door" kit from the Scraptastic Kit Club.

I have been loving all of the different neutrals in this kit so much!   I took the photo of Katie and Anne during our recent trip to New York City!  It was taken at the American Girl Place as we were getting ready to eat our delicious brunch.  You can see why I love it so much!  And it is even more special to me because Katie is gong off to college in just TEN days, (I can count those days on my fingers - yikes!) so I wanted a remembrance of the two of them before she went to college.

I am purchasing these for my trip home:

I would like to share my scrapbook page with you, complete in the frame by Susan Branch:

I loved the floral hearts design in Susan's frame, so I decided to add some of her stickers to enhance Katie's and Anne's photo!  The basis for my layout is a sketch that I used from my PageMaps2 book by Becky Fleck - you can find it on page 103.

Now my scrapbook page is proudly displayed on my desk at work, and I can look back on a wonderful memory that I shared with my sister and daughters!

To me, this is what scrapbooking is all about.

Thank you all so much for stopping by my blog today.  Your visits mean so much to me. ♥♥

I am leaving you with the image that I saw this morning when I went out to my back yard to water my plants:
"Sunrise, sunset, quickly fly the years . . ."
