Corn Roast 2012 (and 2 new layouts made with the "Barn door" kit)

Today I would like to share with you 2 new layouts that I made with the Scraptastic Kit entitled "Barn Door."  For more information about them heck out their fabulous website here:
Scraptastic Club

The first layout I made using photos from our recent "Girls Day Out" in New York City!

I used the panoramic photo that I took of the NYC skyline as we drove out of the city on our bus.  As you can see, it was a very gloomy and over-cast day, but that did not bring our moods down!  We didn't care - we still had a fantastic time!!!  The bottom photos show the highlights of our day - having brunch at the American Girl Place, sightseeing, shopping, then seeing the show "Newsies."

For my second layout, I used a photo that I took yesterday at John's family's "Corn Roast."  His family gets together the second Saturday of every August to celebrate "family!"  Here are some pictures that I took:

Uncle Walter made a collage of old family photos!  So cool!!!!!

My hubby with his brother and cousins.  (In memory of his dad, my husband wore his dad's Eagle's shirt.)

 Say cheese!!!

This was one of the darling crafts that our kids could made yesterday.  Absolutely adorable.
and easy to make!

Aunt Janice brought Mr. Potato Head bubbles.  So much fun!!!!!

All of the senior members of the family posing for a photo.

Here's Katie and her second cousins.  Don't you just love those smiles???

Toms are all the rage these days!

Anne and Michael saying cheese.  Aunt Sharon (me!) pulled that bottom tooth out for Michael.  It was so easy to pull - just hanging by a thread.

Sarah and I were showing off our recent manis/  (I did my own!!!)

 Here's the whole crowd!

Sarah had a wonderful time playing with the younger kids.  She is so great with kids!!!

This is what the corn roast is all about!  Enjoying yummy corn!

The Butter Boy lost his mate this year.  Aunt Janice couldn't find the Butter Girl!

 Mmmmmmmmm!

Here's my niece, Sarah! Isn't she lovely?

And everyone playing the water balloon toss game:

And time for the candy toss:

Afterwards, you get not only get your candy, but a gold medal, too!

And a good time was had by all!!!!!  Here they are with their loot - that should last until Halloween??

And without further ado, here's the second layout that I made with my Scraptastic "Barn Door" kit:

Thank you for stopping by my blog on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. I hope you are enjoying it!

  9. I love your layouts! The NY one is so cool, but the Laugh one is so stunning! It's a perfect mix of simple yet interesting. There are plenty of details and things to admire, but the focus stays on the photo. Love it!
