Challenge #203 at Scrapping the Music! And a new MMD Sketch!/Template!

I am so happy to be hosting the Scrapping the Music challenge this week.  I hope you get a chance to check out Scrapping the Music this week and play along with us! I had so much fun picking the song and prompt and I hope you like them as much as I do.

For Challenge #203A, I picked a favorite song of mine!  Somewhere over the Rainbow is a wonderful and beloved song, first sung by Judy Garland in the movie "The Wizard of Oz."  If you want to see her version, check it out below:

But I wanted to feature a newer version by Israel Kamakawiwo'Ole. I first heard his version after we adopted Anne from China, and I fell in love with it!  Here is the video:

The layout I created using this song as my inspiration was a labor of love for me.  I wanted to create a page in memory of my dear sister, Cathy because I know that I will see her again . . . somewhere over the rainbow.  The photo is of me, my twin sister, Karen, and Cathy taken at Lake Wallenpaupack.

The second part, STM's Challenge #203B, is the prompt as follows:
Scrap about a song you remember your mom singing to you as a child, or one that you sing/sang to your own children.

A favorite song that I sang to Katie and Anne (and still do, by the way, off-key and all!) is "I will" by Paul McCartney.  I love the lyrics and soft melody of this song so much.

Please go to Scrapping the Music to see what the design team created with this song and prompt.  Their creations are inspiring and beautiful, and very touching, too!

Last, but definitely not least, I want to show you Heather Landry's Sketch/Template # 21 from Miracles Momma Designs.

 HL_Sketch_Template21Prv

It is a fabulous sketch, as are all of her sketches - and so simple -   that you can do just about anything with it!
Here is my take on her wonderful sketch:
I used photos from Anne's and my FCC camp weekend in June.  One of our travel group's little sister had a blast there, and LOVED to be the leader.  The girls followed her to breakfast each morning!!!!

Please check out Heather's sketch at Miracles Momma Designs.  The rest of the design team created amazing creations for you to see there. And, if you are into digital scrapping, she even has a template for you to use!  How cool is that?

Sending a big thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I really appreciate your visits and especially love your comments!!!!!  Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.  Boy, the weekend goes by quick, doesn't it?
