Their host this month is Halle from Halle's Hobbies. She chose "A Stitch In Time" as this month's theme. She said: "you can choose whether you want to include an element of stitching, of time, or get crazy and include both!"
I decided to use photos that were taken back in November of 2011. I was invited to a dear friends house to sew - she and her dad are very good sewers . . . they have a wonderful sewing machine and also a serger! With her help, I made an adorable Christmas dress for Anne - she loved it so much that she wore it almost every day that December!
Here are 2 of photos taken that day:
And here is a photo of Katie and Anne, who is wearing the dress:
I also found some very old "Cosmo Cricket" papers in my stash from 2009!!! The line of paper was called "Material Girl" and perfect for this page, I thought.
Here is my page:
I had so much fun making this page. I did a lot of fussy cutting, some sewing, and even found some old buttons to add to the flowers. I would never had had the idea to make it if it weren't for Halle at Art Journal Journey. Thank you, Halle and AJJ!
And thank you "sew" much for stopping by my blog today. Have a wonderful Monday!
Hugs to one and all.
Sewing is fun, and you made a wonderful dress for your daughter. I used to love sewing dresses for my daughter when she was small. Your layout is fantastic, and always with a bit of family history in it, that's great. Have a good week, stay safe and well, hugs, Valerie

I apologize for taking so long to visit. What a delightful memory. It's great that you had someone to help you sew your daughter's dress. Sounds like you were in good hands, though. Your layout is beautiful. If I ever decided to scrap, If would be inspired by the way you create your pages. This one is brilliant. I'm so happy you chose to share this with us at Art Journal Journey using Halle's theme, too. You are a true inspiration for scrapbookers everywhere.
