Some magical moments from our Disney trip

Hi everyone . . .
Here are some photos of our favorite night-time moments at Disney World!
We all loved the fireworks and light shows, even when we were tired after a long day of park hopping!  Disney really knows how to make everyone and everything feel like magic.

Here is EPCOT's World Showcase at night!

And the fabulous Illuminations firework display:

We also really enjoyed the Magic Kingdom's fireworks, too.  Although it was VERY crowded, we still found a good place to watch and enjoy them:

Here is a view of the boardwalk when we returned to the Beach Club that night:

And a photo from the amazing show at Disney's Hollywood Studios: Fantasmic . . .

Katie and Anne enjoyed the Boardwalk games after Fantasmic:

 More boardwalk views:

And the layout I created with a photo of Cinderella's Castle at night!  Katie took this picture.

Well, that's it for now!
Thanks.

Once Upon a Springtime on Easter Sunday . . .

I have been hoarding this Graphic 45 paper for forever!  I purchased it at a local scrapbook store, memory lane pa, that has since closed.  It has been closed for about a year now, and I still miss it so much.  It always had the most beautiful scrapbook papers and supplies, also held fun classes.

But one good thing about it's closure, is that I have "been able to" go without purchasing new scrapbook supplies.  I have been trying to save money, because Katie is off to college in the fall! She has decided to go to Penn State, main campus.  She just completed her paper work, so it's official.  I can't even believe it!!!!!  Those 18 years just flew by . . .
Here we are 13 years ago!

Anyway, back to subject:

I decided to finally use my "Once Upon a Springtime" paper after John took this photo of "his girls" on Easter Sunday after we got home from church.

The birds nests from from an old Scraps of Darkness kit, and I purchased the pink ribbon flowers a couple of years ago from the Scrappy Chic Cafe.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Happy Spring!

Nazareth Area High School Presents "Singin' In The Rain"

Katie's high school's theatre troupe's first performances of Singin' in the Rain were Friday and Saturday nights!  And "what a performance" they both were.  I was so impressed with the talent that these kids posses - the dancing, singing, choreography, sets, EVERYTHING was amazing!

Here are some pictures that I took:

Katie, as Dora Bailey, the radio show host.  She helped greet guests on their way into the show!  Here she is greeting her sister, Anne!!!

 Here she is on stage.

Dora on stage with Cosmo Brown, Don Lockwood, and Lina Lamont.

Don meets Kathy.

Don and Lina filming "The Dueling Cavalier."

The diction coaches trying to help Lina and Don to film their first "Talking Picture."  Mr. Davis, the NAHS principal, was Don's vocal coach!

Don, Kathy, and Cosmo singing and dancing to "Good Morning."

Ryan as Don performing "Singin' in the Rain."  (You can't see it here, but it actually rained on stage!!!!!)  So Cool!

Tess as Lina singing "What's Wrong With Me?"

Gotta Dance!

The finale:  Singin' In The Rain reprise.

 The cast taking their bows.

Tess and Katie:  they have been good friends since middle school.

The END!!!

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed seeing this wonderful high school production of "Singin' In The Rain!"
Thanks so much, everyone!!!!

Kita

Kita's surgery went well.  The vet called John and said that "our girl" made it through with flying colors!  She had to stay overnight to receive antibiotics and reduce the chance for infection.  We really missed her here last night!

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers for our girl!

Scrapping the Music challenge #197!

Good Morning everyone!  Our computer is up and running again!  My husband took it to a local store, and all it needed was a new power source!!!!!   I can't even tell you how excited I was to hear that!   At least the hard drive wasn't involved and we did not lose all of our data!  And we didn't need to buy a new one either!  Hurray!!!!!!!

This week's Scrapping the Music SONG, Challenge #197A, is "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele.  Patricia chose this song, and I just had to scrap it because I love her amazing voice!  Here is my layout:

The photo was taken during our recent trip to Disney World. We had just arrived there and were walking past the boardwalk. Everything looked so beautiful, that I just had to take a picture of John, Katie, and Anne!  My heart "burns" when I look at them - my love for them goes deeper than I could have ever imagined!!!!!

This week's PROMPT, Challenge #197B, is as follows:  What was the first album or song you purchased? Was it on vinyl, tape, CD, or downloaded?

The first album that Karen and I purchased was the 5th Dimension "Up, Up and Away."  I think we were around 10 or 11 years old.  We LOVED them, and couldn't wait to get their album.  My mom took us to see them in concert at the Allentown Fair, too!  I think the Monkees album was bought around that time, too.  Michelle, from our design team, made a wonderful layout about the Monkees - if you have time, please check her page out at Scrapping the Music - and the rest of the design team, too.!!! They inspire me every single day with their talent and creativity!

I also want to share a layout I made yesterday!  Anne was in her very first color guard competition.  Well, the younger kids didn't compete, they just performed.  It only lasted for a few minutes, but it warmed my heart so much to see her!!!!!  She wanted me to make a layout with her picture "right away" so here it is:
That's her in the middle of the bottom row with the great big smile!!!!!

To end my post today, I want to let you know that our dog Kita is going to have surgery for a torn ACL on Thursday, and your prayers for her would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!  Your support and friendship means so much to me.

Scrapping the Music: a new format!!!!

I am late posting these layouts due to a Disney vacation (yay!) and a big computer problem (boohoo!) I have missed visiting your blogs so much!!!  And we got our computer up and running, for now, at least, so I want to let you know the following:  Scrapping the Music has a new format!!!  We will have TWO challenges for you, and we are moving from weekly challenges to bi-weekly challenges again, to give you more time! We're calling this weeks challenges: Challenge #196A and #196B.

Here's how the new format works:

The first challenge is a song - just like always. And the second challenge is a prompt. You can choose to create something based on the song or the prompt! Or, if you are feeling ambitious - feel free to do both!

Here are my layouts:
Challenge #196A:
SONG:  Michelle chose this fun song. She first heard Matt Urmy when she was traveling in Northern Minnesota.  When she heard his name, she kept it in her head so she could look him up when she got home. She did a youtube search and I found the song  "The Time Song!"

Here is my take:

I scrapped the lyric "Time blows your mind" because we just got Katie's graduation pictures back. I am overwhelmed by just how fast times flies by!!!

The second challenge is 196B:

PROMPT: Scrap (or journal or whatever you pick!) about a concert you've gone to. It could be recent or a long time ago. It could be one you loved or one you hated. Or it could be one that you've always wanted to go to!

I think having prompts is such a fun idea and I loved scrapping this one! I have attended lots of concerts, but one that really stands out for me is the Bruce Springsteen concert that I went to during my junior year of college. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band played at the Spectrum in Philadelphia during their "Born to Run" tour. I was 20 at the time, and blown away by Springsteen's music, energy and emotion, and by his stage presence. Afterwards, I ran out and bought every album he had made (there were 3 at the time!) and played them over and over again!

So please come on over and join us at Scrapping the Music - you still have a little time to create a page or two!
