Scrapping the Music challenge # 192 (and ScrapFIT: workout #62)

The fourth Monday of the month is movie week at Scrapping The Music! Yay!  I love movie week!!!

This month's movie is "Final Fantasy" and the song is "Every Time We Touch" by Cascada!  I just love the video - you can check it out at Scrapping the Music!  You should go see what all of the design team members came up with this week, too!  I love all of their creations.
Here's mine:

I am still scrapping my photos from Paris, and this song brougt to mind just how much I love my husband by my side.  I took this photo in the Louvre - it has great big, cool mirrors along the hallways!  It was such an amazing experience and to get to see it with John, was the BEST!

Please check out our challenge this week.  I would love to see what you create with this song!  You won't be sorry you did!

I am also entering my layout into the Scrap Fit Workout # 62 which asks you to use x's and o's.  Mine are in a stip near the bottom of my page!  Thanks Tracey for letting me know about your challenge!

Scrapping the Music Challenge #191

This week's Scrapping the Music song was chosen for you by our design team member, Frauke! The song is "That Man," by Caro Emerald. Check out the cool video!!  I really had not heard of Caro Emerald before Scrapping the Music, but I absolutely love her music now.  The video begins in a cafe in Paris, so that was my inspiration for my latest layout:

I wanted to scrap about the lyric "twisting round on a carousel,"  because carousels in Paris were the most beautiful I had ever seen . . . especially at night!  As Michelle at Scrapping the Music said, even if you don't feel like scrapping about a man, you can find plenty of other lyrics!
Come on, give it a try!!!!!

You leave me in stitches

Here is my latest page - I used a photo that my friend Barbarann took of Lisa and I after I had "mastered" her sewing serger!  LOL!!!  If you want to read more about upcycled t-shirt dresses and how we made them click here.

My layout displays one of my favorite photos of  Lisa and I because we were having such fun that day.  Here is is:

I have been trying to use up my old stash and not buy new items in an attempt to save money since our oldest daughter, Katie, is off to college this summer/fall.  I still can't believe that I said that.  Did I REALLY???  Time has flown by so quickly and it seems like just yesterday we were holding our newborn girl in our arms.

Anyway . . . I seem to get sidetracked easily these days . . .

Here is the finished product . . . Anne modeling her upcycled t-shirt dress that I made with the help of Lisa and BA:

Back to my layout:  I used an amazing sketch made my Heather Landry that I found at scrapbook.com as the basis for my page.  I thought the hexagons were so cool!  Here's her sketch:
You can check it out at Heather's blog or at scrapbook.com!

In addition, the envelopes that I used are from a
"Little Yellow Bicycle" kit that I won at Izzy B's blog.  The kit is brand new and so is the line - it's called "Paradise."  Go take a peak at Izzy's blog  too - it's so much fun.

Thanks to everyone who inspired me for my latest layout - Heather, Izzy, and of course, Lisa and BA!
I love you all!

Scrapping the Music Challenge #190 and an update on my mom!

This week's Scrapping the Music's challenge uses an amazing and fun song, entitled "Art" by Tanya Davis!  I really love, not only the lyrics of this song, but the video, too.  Check it out over at Scrapping the Music. I think Michelle put it aptly on the blog - we all can relate to this song!

Here is my take:

When I listened to the lyrics to this song, I thought, "yes, my heart LOVES art!"  And for me, it starts with a photograph!

Now on to my mom . . .

Thanks to you and all of your wonderful thoughts and prayers, she is home and recuperating.  She is still very week and tired, but we have physical therapy coming to her home, which is really helping.   She has a doctor's appointment tomorrow, so lets hope it goes well.

Thank you all again, SO MUCH!  Your thoughts, prayers, and friendship are greatly appreciated by my entire family.  In addition, I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
xoxo

Prayers needed!

Just a quick post to ask all of your to please say a prayer for my mom.  She has been in the hospital since last Monday, and has just been one thing after the other.  We are all feeling frustrated and just want her to get better and come home.

This picture was taken last Easter at her home:

Thanks so much!

Scrapping the Music challenge #189

This week's song at Scrapping the Music is "Hey Soul Sister" by Train. It's such a fun song with great lyrics to scrap by. I took my cue from Patricia and Linda on the design team, and wanted to show the design team members how much they mean to me! They are truly my soul sisters - they inspire me each and every day!  They really do!

If you like this song and it's lyrics, head over to Scrapping the Music and join in the fun this week!

Everyone who submits a project during the month of February will be entered into a drawing to win this wonderful prize offered by Linda, one of our design team members!
Our February Prize
We can't wait to see what you create this week!

Liebster Blog Award!

I was surprised and happy to be a recipient of this award from TWO bloggers!   I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to be recognized by my bloggy friends!
Thank you so much!

The origins of the Liebster Blog Award are somewhat
unclear but general consensus is that they originated in
Germany. Liebster, meaning favorite or dearest, is here  to
showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon
accepting this award the recipient must then pass it on to
five more blogs that have 200 or less followers.

I am the proud recipient of this award from the following TWO bloggers:

 and

Please visit their blogs because both of them are absolutely sensational!!!!

Here are the Liebster rules:
**Choose 5 up and coming blogs of fewer than 200 followers to award the Liebster to.
**Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
**Post the award on your blog. Link back to the blogs you have given the Liebster to so everyone else can pay them a visit.

So, now it is time for me to pass on the award to 5 blogs.
I decided to pick 5 blogs (that I love, of course) that have less than 100 followers:

They are all wonderful blogs, beautiful artists and amazing scrappers!  Please take some time out of your busy day to check them out!!!
