Katie's first prom
Katie was the junior class president and was on the prom comittee this year. She had no idea how much work went into planning a big event like a prom! It was such a good experience for her.
My husband and I both took the day off work, and my sister, Karen, took the day off, too! It was so much fun to get to spend the day with Karen!!! I was so full of emotion that day - to see her all dressed up with her hair curled and make-up on almost brought me to tears!!!! Here is the layout that I made using some of our favorite photos:

My sister is a runner!
My twin sister is a runner! She started running about 10 years ago, and has not stopped since. She absolutely amazes me with her persistence and stamina. She has run numerous 5-K's, 10-K's, 5 milers, and 10 milers. In addition, she ran quite a few 1/2 marathons, and even a full marathon at Disney World!
I have tried to run, but cannot get past a 5-K! That's my limit. Sometime I can't even believe that we are twins. I have NO desire to run, at all! Ha-Ha!
Here are some photos from Karen's most recent run - the Philadelphia 10-Miler. She went down with her husband, Tim, who has been a great supporter of hers and one of her biggest fans. Along with me!!!

Happy Mother's Day
My good friend, Barbarann, arranged to have the class at her home. We went down to a nearby farm to do our practice shots - what a beautiful place to apply what we learned!!!
The owners of the farm collect antiques - such amazing stuff:
Lisa taught the class - you can read and see more about her and her photography on her blog at http://www.thelongroadtochina.blogspot.com/
She arranged for us to have two amazing models, one, a friend of Lisa:
and the second, Barbarann's daughter:
Oh, and I amost forgot our third model, Josie:
Lisa really showed us how to get that good shot:
This class was the perfect reason for me to get my new camera out of the box and use it. I have been so busy since Christmas, that I hardly even used my new Canon Rebel.
Lisa made the class fun - we had "class time" then practiced what we learned at the farm, then had more class time, then had another outdoor session. And . . . Lisa gave each one of us a binder filled with information to take home.
The whole experience was amazing!!!!!
And the best part was that I got to spend time with good friends, and meet some new ones in the process. And enjoy a most beautiful Spring day.
Here is the owner of the farm (our fourth model!) with his beautiful dog, Josie.

Moods
I really enjoy being part of the Scrapping the Music design team. I love the songs that Michelle picks to inspire us. Music and scrapping are my passion!
If you want to participate in this week's challenge go to: http://www.scrappingthemusic.blogspot.com/
This week's song is from the movie "Once." If you haven't seen it, you should because it's wonderful.
For me, this was the perfect song to illustrate the "moods that take me and erase me." I have always been my own worst critic, taking disappointments and let-downs as failures. Lucky for me, I have such an awesome support system (my amazing husband and kids, great co-workers, and my YOU!) and my faith to get me through these dark moods and times.
